As MMOs progress, we have seen more and more forms of control schemes implemented or imagined.. The debate rages on between keyboard/mouse and gamepad users over which is better, and all the while VR controls are attempting their own entry into the market.. But what kind of control setup do you want most for your future MMOs?
Note: This question makes one assumption for the purposes of this poll.. Assume that future MMOs will move away from Tab-targeting and more towards action-style combat..

I rejected your assumption as well.

There's no better control method than a programmable keyboard and mouse combination...
I spend all day at work using a keyboard and mouse, then spend all my leisure time doing the same. I've had no issues so far after 20 years of heavy use, lol
This is PC b!tches!
This issue is: Will mmos on pc bother to be complex enough to fully utilize the control advantages of the platform?
Sure as shit won't if continuing to make portable games between pc and console. Thankfully some indie developers out there actually build for pc like Camelot Unchained (and others in the works).
In case some don't know, CU is using a custom engine that is as fast and complex as FPS games but they aren't going the FPS control setup scheme. Instead this allows them to keep the mmorpg a more old school feel while adding hybrid FPS concepts for aiming style combat and more action based classes. Mage casting is more old school and any class can still revert to a more old school setup if they want. This is what I call evolution ... not abandoning play style entirely in favor of action combat making every class/skill feel the same.
The market still requires some games maximized for the platform they are build for instead of watering everything down so it fits on anything.
You stay sassy!
The worst for me is switching between mouse and keyboard with my right hand. I lose control every time a game has this.

But, I'll stick with mouse and keyboard. More options and freedom than any of the the other methods, if you have the right mouse and keybinds setup then it tends to be more comfortable than the other methods too.
Most importantly, keyboard = easy to chat. MMOs are social (despite the trend of solofication) and I'm all about building communities and increasing retention. If you can't easily chat with other players, your community is going to be worse and retention lower.
Control setup is less relevant.
The AT&T store down the road from where I work has a Gear VR model on the floor, center-stage, plugged in and ready to use.
I haven't used it, because I'm already sold. I also get the feeling that it's one of those things I wouldn't want to broadly share once I own.
