"I have found a desire within myself that no experience in this world can satisfy; the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." ~ C. S. Lewis
None. I'm so jaded that I don't trust a word from any of them. Until they prove what they delivery, I won't trust them. I have hopes for citadel of sorcery but they are going into ten years development now with no signs of release any time soon so... I don't even trust them.
Asian P2W crap or underfunded kickstarters promising the world.
Hell if you had said list the top 10 you probably would have listed them all.
I guess the only title that doesn't fit my jaded generalization is Star Citizen but they sell .jpgs of spaceships and still don't have much of a game but at least they have $100 of millions to throw at it.
As someone who is disgusted by cash shops looking for an open virtual world experience the horizon is as bleak as the Mad Max wasteland. I have very little expectations on anything delivering and would put myself in the nothing camp.

Now the obvious follow up question to people that made a list, how many of those actually get released?
Regardless of the answer there is nothing remotely interesting because every game listed will if made at all be a pay to win or cash grab game from jump street or will be very shortly after it goes live.
When you have a bunch of dreamers, non business people and guys who have zero ability to run their personal checkbooks let alone the funding of something that will take millions of dollars to achieve the probability of any sort of 'success' are basically zero.
Thats why I said years ago MMOs are dead. That was right around the time Elder Scrolls Online was set to release and all the drama surrounding that. Looks like that statement has come to reality because ESO was the last 'proper' MMO to release and there hasnt been anything else since and none of these games listed by anyone here really gives hope that that will change. Yes technically they will (if released) be MMOs but nothing fit for any 'normal' person to play.
The rabid fanboys from each camp can come in with the same excuses for each game theyre passionate about but every excuse and reason for each will be the exact same canned answer ever dreamer has about something they know deep down inside is going to turn out like every other failed game over the past decade. Basically take out the name and every reason will be the same for each of them, so without any specific reasoning there is no reasoning at all.

Calling MMOS dead is your opinion without basis of fact. There are currently a number of successful in factual/statistical measures. Simply saying they are dead; all of them suck; they're all cash grabs.... opinion opinion opinion. It sounds good, but lacks meat and potato in that meal. Empty calories.
As for people who are looking forward to games or are enjoying them and don't accept your opinion doesn't make them fan boys. It simply means their opinion differ.
Are there games which fail, have issues, etc... of course. However, MMOs are like people and should be taken individually on their own merits and failures. Not the generic 'They all...'
Honestly, I can't find a fifth to look forward for. I like to enter games without any expectation, so i'm not overly hyping anything right now. Revelation looks great, but... My.Com. The one i'm most looking forward to is Lost Ark.
I need to amend my list. After watching some Pantheon play on Youtube it's off my list. That just leaves Camelot for me now.
Despite claims that the genre is booming I'd say it's hit rock bottom in terms of quality, and in terms of games that are real MMO's. There are far too many games out there claiming to be, or are being called MMO's, that are not massively multiplayer.

Other than that all I see are more shallow, cash grab trash or MMO-Lite/Co-Op wannabe MMO's but aren't.
Wow. I'm so bitter and twisted.

Love Minecraft. And check out my Youtube channel OhCanadaGamer
Try a MUD today at http://www.mudconnect.com/Honestly nothing at all ,at this point in time looks more than a 4/10 or maybe at very best a 6/10.
My gut hunch says that the ffxi remake for mobile will be really good when comes out,but i hate mobile gaming,so sad for me.
Yes Pantheon is worth looking at,Chronicles is a game i had high hopes for but several reasons have left me thinking it only has a very slim hope.
Other than that, nothing else looks worth watching.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

5. Chronicles of Elyria
After almost two decades of playing / waiting for several MMO's, I've decided a couple of years back that WoW is the one for me.
Total time played: 9125 Days, 21 Hours, 29 Minutes, 27 Seconds
Time played this level: 39 Days, 1 Hour, 24 Minutes, 5 Seconds
I guess i can count Legion, and an international server for BDO (if it ever happens)
I will surely try Crowfall, Bless and Revelation but i'm not really hyped.
2.Chronicles of Elyria
3. Shards Online
4. Whatever mmo Amazon is working on
5. Saga of Lucima/Dark and Light
Any mmo worth its salt should be like a good prostitute when it comes to its game world- One hell of a faker, and a damn good shaker!
