With exactly a week until World of Warcraft: Legion makes its debut as a fully-released expansion to the venerated game, some may be starting to panic as the pre-event that has been running for the past two weeks is drawing to a close. The Legion pre-event is designed for altoholics and achievement hunters. With huge XP gains during the demonic invasions, this is the right time and the right place to dust off those lowbies and get crackin'! Find out how in our mini guide.

Depending on your character level, rested xp, heirloom gear etc. you will see various amounts of experience.
To give you some examples:
- Roughly 30 minutes I took one character from 68 - 71.
- Roughly 90 minutes 1 character from 1-20 [use a 2-person mount to get your friends' alts to the invasion zone(s) at level 1]
- Characters 85+ seem to get about 3 levels per hour
NOTE* If you are doing this in a party you must disband your party before logging out during stage 4. If you do not the invasion will not reset and you risk completing it.
I have to say they did a nice job. Your level ten character get the correct percentage of xp even thouugh there's a level 100 character next to you getting their correct xp for their level. They actually out did GW2's dynamic events with this, leveling is so easy now. Then you can now focus on end game stuff and collecting.
Monk gets a 1 hour 50% bonus every ten levels when he returns to challenge and beat a master which makes leveling even faster for monks. I didn't like Monks at first but my Nightelf Monk is now one of my favorite characters with his force lightening skill and nice healing abilities as a mistweaver. Fun stuff.
Or if you've got the money just buy a level 100 boost and get a fully equipped character with a level 3 (I think) garrison.

The slower the better
I'd like to see a leveling guide for max. lore experience or -even better- various guides for the various lore lines in the game.
Suzie!!

The same might apply to 60/61 but I can't say for certain, I haven't leveled a char in that range yet.
The most you can do is get to the current level cap, which is going to increase in a week. It's a good way to get alts to current max level so they'll be ready to start on Legion content right away.
+1
Guess ya missed the part about raising more than one character to 100 -- alt characters and for achievement hunting in Legion.

Anything for you! We'll see what we can whip up after Legion launches. I'm a story fiend myself so you can expect that that's where my heart will be, especially with so many long-told stories being touched upon!

That's why the suggestion was twofold: Open at talent tiers OR at the levels where new expansions were opened -- for instance at 81+ to get WotLK gear and so on. I stopped opening any crates at 85 and have held them all pending the 100 ding on my Warlock (she's a 93 at the moment!). Looms are a little underpowered and they've stopped giving any experience gains but with the sheer number of folks around, it's not really necessary to up the iLevel until 100.

Personally won't take that route. WoW has great content at all levels, and telling people to tag tag tag so they can max xp - I guess actually contributing to the event is too much. Hey once they can fly they can sit above everyone else and leech XP until the final boss too. Why didn't you share that nifty tip?
just waiting for a new dungeon at endgame, that's just silly and shouldn't be encouraged imho.

As generally meh as Pandaria was thought to be, I had a blast leveling monks and tanking, healing and DPSing with them through all the early dungeons all the way to max level.

I've got 100 Paladin, Warrior, Shaman, Warlock, Mage, & Demon Hunter already - way too many to ever actually play 100-110 but at the same time, I've done the leveling up experience so many times (legit) over the 12+ years of WoW... I love the free/easy boost this is offering! So depending on how quick I can get my Druid to 100, might roll a Priest up too!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would say save all of them, since the upgrades you'll get won't be all that great, especially if you have heirlooms. I did that on my Paladin. Had full set of ilvl 700+, many of my pieces warforged.
With just a week left until the launch of Legion, the invasion is ramping up. Today, all six invasion zones — Westfall, Dun Morogh, Hillsbrad, Azshara, Northern Barrens, and Tanaris — are active at once. Each invasion still lasts two hours, so if you’re leveling alts or trying to get weapon drops, you should be able to hit them all while they’re up.
