Final Fantasy XIV checking server status

Hello

I was thinking of going back to final fantasy XIV but there is a specific server i want to join is there anyway i can check if that server is accepting new players ?

I want to join Gilgamesh server NA and i remember last year when i tried to join that server it wasn't accepting new players.

Thanks for the replies i was wondering  how to check it because i think i am going to have to buy the game again and didn't want to buy then i wasn't able to get on that server.

I just wanted that specific server because there is a FC i want to join.

There are some servers like Balmung, which are extremely popular and character creation is locked Down almost 24/7.

You really have to keep attention, especially after a server restart to quickly go in and create a character, as that is usually the time window where high pop servers are unlocked for brief moment of time.

You should try late night server time it sometimes work. How I got into Moogle.

I have bought the game now i'm  just playing on behemoth at the moment and will get a transfer to gilgamesh next week, I didn't know other people had replied i have been playing the game and haven't been on here since i posted this, I'm level 46 at the moment.

Yeah, also after maintenance is a great way to get into locked out servers, except Balmung. So I'd probably wait until the maintenance at the end of the month to see if you can just make a character there and save some money, assuming they dont have a maint before then
