It would be nice to see another full featured MMO come out, but let's be realistic here.  Amazon's main focus is on the mobile software because they sell a lot of mobile devices.  When was the last time you saw even a decent minimally featured MMO on a mobile device.  There are very few and they really don't match up to the bottom feeder MMOs.

Getting excited over this announcement is silly.  Until we get more details I really doubt much will come of this game.
How many mobile games are streamed on Twitch, again? This keeps getting brought up by people that aren't doing their research, and the assumption is wrong. Amazon Game Studios is focusing on PC games, meaning Windows PC. None of the games they announced are for mobile.

You know what Amazon sells a lot more of other than mobile devices? Just about everything else. Mobile isn't their "main focus" at all.

"At AGS, we are developing multiple AAA PC games in our Seattle and Irvine studios that harness the power of AWS and Twitch to create new community-driven game experiences." [Emphasis mine]

Sure, it doesn't mean anything for you. It hardly means anything for me. But to keep claiming these are mobile games is just silly. I didn't speak on anything else.

Another game I was excited for is called Gloria Victis but I found out it has brothels in it. No way will I play it, now. I have high moral standards and I will not tolerate something that is sinful. Heaven is my destination, and Jesus is getting me there! :)
I do see your point,  as Christians(and other extremists)  have always been pretty much ok with  spreading their plagues and brutally sacrificing dissenters. Just don't accidentally slice any clothes open while slitting those virtual pvp throats.  <rolls eyes>

My problem is the Mature rating... I'm Christian (Catholic) and I dont play games with that rating.

Too bad, was excited. Not now. Wont be playing.

Back to WoW and waiting for Camelot Unchained.

what does rating have to do with being able to play a game or not? Why would it matter if it was rated "Teen", and if it was the same exact game? If it helps, in the UK will be rated teen as they aren't as fanatical over there about ratings as in the US. Even nudity is allowed there and anyone can see it no matter the age lol

But I'm guessing this is just a troll post made to make laughs :D

I dont troll, thanks... No, its all about nudity. I can deal with violence and scary things. But it is against my religion and morals to be exposed to nudity when I make all efforts to keep purity for Jesus. I dont know if they will have nudity in it but in most games with the Mature rating tag, there it is. I plan on playing Camelot Unchained because I love PvP and it has hardly any nudity whatsoever.

Now if someday I find out this game is Mature rating only for scary imagery, and minimal nudity, then yes I will probably play it. But right now the Mature rating makes me think against that.

@Ammon777_new, I support your right to your opinion, and respect it. I only wish more at this site could. You're not forcing your view on other, or demanding others conform to it. As far as I can tell, your opinion and decision only affects your self. The ones ridiculing your opinion are most likely the ones salivating over causing anyone discomfort in game. Their joy doesn't come from playing the game, but from causing others distress by exploiting the game or its features.

    Pardon any spelling errors
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven
Boy: Why can't I talk to Him?
Mom: We don't talk to Priests.
As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
    Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play.  Therefore P2W.

So we've now established conclusively that New World will, in fact, have nudity?

Still looking for those 3 notorious letters found on the grave marker of every 'sandbox MMO' ever.

I always get a bit worried when game companies begin their pitch by basically talking about creative ways to expand their market instead of strictly focusing on making the best game possible and letting the game grow from players recognizing how good it is and wanting to play it.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting it and these companies are just trying to add features that modern players demand more that gameplay depth.

Either way it's too early to make any concrete judgement, but let's just say my interest is mild to lukewarm and that's strictly from the mention of the word sandbox.

The MMO market these days reminds me of the old SNES days where for every Super Metroid there were a dozen or so Hudson Hawk: The Video Game's. I can't wait until these doctors figure out how to cure nostalgia so I can go back to looking forward to games again.
