Anyone still play/wanna play WAFKU?

Heyo! So I recently decided to look at Wakfu again after being bored of the current MMOs. I'm playing on the Remington server due to it being highest population. I'm pretty impressed with the changes to the game and was wondering if anyone else is still playing or if anyone would like to?

I used to play it and like it a lot but its made in Java. Its as if Java would overheat and starts freezing the game constantly after playing for a little while lol, so i uninstalled and never looked back. It is a very common problem among many people and the Java fix doesn't fix it. Thanks Java.

    From the features list:
    • Politics | Earn Citizen Points and complete quests to become Guard, Soldier, and even Governor.
    • Ecosystem | Players may control the ecosystem, by controlling the monsters, plants, and weather in each territory.
Nothing of much interest to me other than these two points. How meaningful/well implemented is this?

I remember trying it a few years ago and the world felt "closed" msot fo the time...Like you cant go here, you cant go there....Just dont like that kind of f2p approach

Well, you should try it again cause they already revamped their F2P business model and now every free players can leave main city after level 25.

On the latest patch the devs add downscaling level system, so high level players can play with lower level ones and rewarded appropriately to their original level.

For politics feature, as a citizen of a nation, you have ranks that determine your position in that country (such as guard or soldier) which will be determined by Citizenship Points or CP. Any good deeds to your country and depends on rules that have been laid by the chosen governor, will grant you CP.

In every area, there will be NPC called Clan Leader, which will grants you unique buffs that help you progress faster (even though not really significant IMO). They will give you buffs based on how healthy the ecosystem is on that particular area (based on monster and plants population), the more their demands are fulfilled, stronger the buffs you'll get. You can monitor their demands with clicking "W" symbol on upper right UI.

CMIIW (sorry for bad english). :hurrah:

Lol. You are going to be waiting forever Varadahoth. I don't foresee an MMO launching without a cash shop ever again. It's too successful of a model and the blowback is pretty minimal at this point.

There are games out there that fulfill your endless grind fantasy at least from the gear grind perspective but every single one of them has some form of cash shop.

Poor guy! He asked if you play or want to play , and all you do is criticize and/or "review" the game when you played it , lol !
