If you didn't try
Black Desert until now, ignore all the written complains that are circulating around the web and give it a chance. Recently Kakao Games decided to
permanently lower the price to $10 to bring more players in.
The game is quite good and it's far from dying (the doom preachers are usually players that left due to various reasons, and they want to drag as many people as possible with them). Servers are populated and everything is thriving.

never liked a game so much that I played like 5 hrs a day and barely reached level 22
Already we get one in here.
So things must be bad for a company to try and get more people on the product?

Nobody said the population has not dropped. That is normal but that still does not mean the game is not doing well.
Its just more smart buisness.
Its over man, you all lost.
I expect the game to go F2P next year.
No links, no sources.
That means hate and jeolousy.
Try to spin it anyway you want to.
Sorry this did not go the way of ArcheAge.
4 hours does nothing in BD, hell you don't even unlock half the game for at least 100-200 hours
Even brand new MMOs probably have difficulties "growing" in numbers after the initial influx of players, of which a huge amount never stick around past the first month.
The best way to measure "growth" would be by their finances, but they don't share those. As long as the game keeps getting frequent content updates and patches I'd say that saying it is "flourishing" would be fair enough.
Also, your reasoning for claiming a game is not doing well because it goes on sale is as flawed as can be. Blizzard has been practically giving WoW away for free for years now, even when it was actually one of the rare MMOs that could say it was still growing in number.
Of course there was a catch there... it was the base game sans the latest expansion. Just as there is a catch here - AKA they are counting on newcomers spending money on the cash shop once they're "in".
Then again, you probably know this better than anyone Kano. Just as everyone on these forums knows that if this was a TRION game, you wouldn't be spouting half of this nonsense. :pleased:
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

I just logged into BDO for the first time since they added the ability to sell real cash items on the in game market and the game does not have nearly as many people playing.
Talking with friends in the high end guilds they barley have any competition when doing siege wars now. They have to actively plan to siege against another guild for that to happen. The game is not dead but it is not thriving either.
It must be true, look at the post count!
Been playing since launch. Still having fun. All channels have tons of people. I rate the game 9/10. That is my review.
The games certainly not thriving... but it's also not dieing.
Still, if non of the above is a deal breaker for you, then this is a good game.
