lol y all the hate? its got the most real world feel of any mmo i have played, it feels like a world not a game. i think though it is way to complex for the average gamer, much like distant worlds is not as popular as civs 5. as for your the theory about the price is wrong, and you guys have 0 clue as to why they would do it. as for it declining i have no idea nor do i care, other then it amuses me to no end these battles of if a game is doing well or not, like you guys have some personal stake in the money they make.
sorry to burst your dream bubble of wanting this game to fail for what ever werid reason u haters have, but it is not going to shut down. the way they have the cash shop will keep it going for a long time, and with its complex systems to keep even the most dedicated player busy, i dont for see it dying even in 10 years. esp when u have games llike uncharted waters with the same kind of cash shop going strong for 6 years, and it has horrible graphics. not to mention arche age which has the a worst p2w cash shop, really glitchy graphics, very linear game play, and no real world immerision like rain making stuff wet, npcs doing thier daily business, which change with the hours, and a god awful labour system that makes you have to buy cash shop items, or run 5 accounts. yet that still is going strong.
I reinstalled BDO and went back this month with some friends, since the awakenings are out for the classes we play. However the game still suffers from it's server issues in pvp, and even with an SSD and extremely fast internet speeds the pop-in is enough to make you sick while running full speed on a horse. I can tolerate it for a while but it got old quick for all of us.
We are currently going to go back to ESO to try out One Tamriel, while we wait to see how the mmo market progresses and what games actually get launched, since so many are turning into flops these days.
Dark and Light could be interesting if they ever show some gameplay. As well as beta for Crowfall, and Camelot Unchained. No one I know is interested in Revelation at all, the thought of throwing fish at people to heal them makes me cringe. Then of course there's the mystery project New World from Monopoly (amazon) Studios, which could be good or terrible.
Kakao is a huge company, so Daum now have the resources(through Kakao) to strike a deal with Pearl Abyss for a global server. That would bring me back. And yes, i would buy the game again if PA opens global servers. If this doesn't happen then they just don't care anymore. I won't care either and go play something else.
The game was honestly never set up to be a "b2p" game in the first place tbh given the actions they took so quickly, so from a business stand-point I think the companies involve got more money so far than they were expecting, especially how the game was doing in other regions. They probably noticed a dip or the sub numbers not being where they wanted them when they implemented the option and just decided to lower the barrier for a bit until going completely f2p next year.
From that list of games that the site was saying they worth trying , I would want to re-try Eve Online when it will be F2P ! Actually , I think I am 80% that it will try it ( again ) !
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
Nope, not playing this game from these lying scumbags Kakao. Not at least until they release witch awakening, heh. Even then I kind of doubt I'll be playing it for long. The game is an elaborate chore, where you can "skip part of the grind" in the cash shop. But there is no way to completely avoid the druggery, and really the game is just a test to see how much BS you can put up with until you quit.
November for me looks a lot like October did- lots and lots of Overwatch. Zero MMOs out now or on the horizon (besides maybe Camelot Unchained, which is far out) are appealing.

That's how November 2016 looks to me.
When you don't want the truth, you will make up your own truth.
