Man, the new servers are insane, I've NEVER seen so many newb toons running around. It's getting difficult to find something outside of the instanced dungeons to kill.

Sweet, I'm gonna renew my subscription to check it out.  It's been a while since anything has been crowded.

I predict that they will need at least 3 at most 5 of the new type servers once it all settles down, and that they will always be at over 1k+ playing at peak times, at least for the first couple of months.

I may be totally wrong, but it's my guess.

I honestly think 1 more server will do the trick. perhaps they underestimated how much ppl disliked TOA.

2 servers will ne enough.  Even though they increased the server cap to 3500 today, chances are there won't be that many people on it.  As of now they are the two most populated servers with 1800 and 2300 on them.  Tonight after work when people get home both will most likely get around 3000 again.  However the dramatic drop off shows that either a lot of people skipped work yesturday or came from the other servers.  Outside of Merlin/Lancelot the other server populations are back to normal. 

In a week i see the population during the day being 800 and 1200 once the people go back to their servers.  During night time hours most likely 1500 and 2000.  Still decent size servers, but now that the name rush is over people will start to miss their money, house, servers, guilds, etc. 

I do not want to have to start over on a new server.  However, given the lack of crafting, money, and ToA on these new servers it makes it easier to play for a little while when no one is on my home server.  So a nice 2nd server, but not a new home.  That is how it will be for most people.

Wont another influx of players come in on the 14th when they let everyone in not just the people that have subscribed since june?

Today at about 4:45pm PST they were both at 3500, and they continue to be at 7pm PST. Tomorrow more people will be able to play, the people who created new accoutns in the last 13 days for the new servers. Add to that the buzz that is being created by these servers.. and, I don't see how they could need less than 3.

But speculation can only get us so far, we'll see in about a month.

Just to make sure: you know that they the new servers are without ToA, Artifacts and MLs right? They are named Classic ruleset btw.
