I thought COD: Infinite Warfare was doing badly, people were bitching so much about it, even blaming Jon Snow. I guess Spaceships didn't fare too well with the core player base.
Modern Warfare and Block Ops fans hate Infinite Warfare, but consumers buy the Call of Duty name.
I don't think the amount of money a game brings in accurately reflects how good a game is.You would think that if a game was no good, then people wouldn't buy it, but it's safe to assume that people have to purchase it to understand why they don't like it. Even after reading reviews and watching game-play videos I sometimes end up buying shitty games.
I play bot Modern Warfare and Black Ops, but I didn't buy Infinite Warfare after reading the reviews, I heard Servers are empty.
Really? This I did not know. I think Pokemon Go made like $200 million in it's first month. I had no idea Super Mario Run was anywhere near that. Last I heard they were on pace for $60 million or so. Actually, that's not horrible, in my opinion, considering the model. I'm undecided whether I'm going to buy it yet because apparently it's a hassle to get it on your other devices. So I'd have to buy it twice to play it on my iPad and iPhone? Plus, while I expected there to be some microtransactions of some sort, I didn't expect the "SURPRISE FUCKERS!!!!!" implementation of the payment. Seemed like a way to get around listing it as a paid app, to me.
Wow! I've not played a single one of those above! Oh well, back to looking for City of Heroes to miraculously restart while playing DC Universe Online and Pathfinder Online.
World of Tanks still in the top ten more than six years after release. It's one of the best games on my hard drive, that's for sure. Still gotta play some tanks every month.
Overwatch is my most played game these days however. I ran into a group of Korean kids about a week ago playing comp and they said I was a pro Zenyatta, so we've been playing together every day. Good thing the Army spent two years teaching me Korean so that I can barely understand when they say things like "Reaper on the right!"

I agree with waiting for CoH to miraculously appear, or for a true spiritual successor to release, although I am playing DCUO and STO and dabbling in The Division.
The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!
