Yea I was not happy with only loosen 30 lbs in 4 months.  I felt I should have lost a lot more.  Which is why I tried to start running again.  Which was no problem at 18 lol.  My Knee which I tore my ACL didnt hold up.  I guess I will just have to be happy with 8 to 10 lbs a month of weight loss.  I went from a 4K to 5K calories a day down to around 2K to 2500.  I was eating a lot in Tier 1 and 2 in michi's ladder it didnt matter that I ate 2 sandwich bags of carrots or even cashew because my in-take on calories were 50% less and the nutrients where higher than the crap I use to eat.

The more you lose the less you'll see of those big drops.  usually the first month or so of getting back on track you'll lose a ton of weight.  When I'm within 10 lbs of my goal it takes forever, and I'm currently within 10 lbs of my goal now - I'm really shooting for about 180.  I used to be at about 165 and while that is the desired weight goal, I look too skinny.

It's more about body composition too, when you work out, you may not see the lbs drop off, but if you stay consistent you'll see your waist decrease.  It's a stark change from the point where you were dropping 5 lbs a week to suddenly plateauing and thinking you're not progressing, when in actuality you are very much, just in a different way.

Sounds like I dont need to try to push harder when I was only lost 4 lbs in the last month.  It sounds like that will be normal as my body changes.

I think everybody in this thread is awesome.

What a polite and reasonable discussion. So rare.

Being on a diet, it seems I tend to lose weight over night. Making it fun to step on the weight scale in the morning after a wizz.

Because of how food and water being digesting by the body, has its own weight, I can't be sure what my weight was initially just before Christmas, though it seems these days, as if I must have lost about 3 kg so far, in the last 2 months. Currently at 88.5 kg, down from eh 94'ish. I'll stop at 80-82 kg.

People that want to lose weight, will probably make a mistake, if they train their muscles, because muscles supposedly weighs 25% more than body fat, and also make you eat more, making you not lose weight. Which is what happened to me, when I first went onto a treadmill a few years ago, but also, training muscles every other day. My weight never changed for the better!!! Not even after weeks of hard training.

As far as muscle building goes, as I understand it, you will want to fist get rid of your overweight, then, train muscles. Losing weight fist, probably makes it more healthier for the body to do some running for example, which otherwise could more easily hurt your knees if you are overeweight.

For eating more healthy, I think it helps a lot by eating normal portions, and not always overeat.

I have a small whiteboard where I keep count of the days since I last overate, and it currently stands on 41 days. :) Sort of fat shaming myself on a daily basis.

Eating two hot dog might be enough, instead of the trivial four hot dogs. You will get hungry, but I bet you would like feeling hungry, and eat food, instead of consistently overeating and never feeling hungry.

No MMORPG players are not just fat, people who play video games in general come in all shapes and sizes. I for one am a solid 165 at 5'9" and do crossfit regularly. Had a herniated disc in the Army.
