ive been following the game since it was announced. Ive watched the livestreams and saw all the dev posts about the game. Looks like a solid entry into the sandbox survival genre. Anything to get me to stop playing Ark lol
The original Age of Conan was a pretty awesome game imo..
You mean Tortage? Cause everything outside the initial level 20 area was a broken wasteland
No it wasn't.... Tortage was confined and completely on rails, The actual game had plenty of great quests to partake in, many of which you weren't led to, instead the quest began when you found it. People who judge games based on week one for eternity are annoying.

well depends when you played AOC...the launch was typical funcom...a hot mess...a year later when i jumped in the game was beyond solid, though damage was already done as mmorpg gamers are too...whats the word for it...unforgiving i guess...
AOC was one of the best mmorpgs i played when mmorpgs were a thing.
Obviously tortage had the most condensed content, and imo, the most detail in scenery...but i dont remember ever running out of content, even at endgame.
Yeah the guild wars were buggy, sure crafting sucked, the raids were some of my favorite, the right blend of difficulty and enjoyable playability.
pvp was fun...really fun...and every class was a blast to play.
This made me laugh, I was in the Conan beta and knew the steaming pile it was before it released.. so I avoided that one. Got nailed on the Warhammer one though.
I have both those AND the Collectors box of Vanguard. Luckily I got into the Lotro Lifer program and that has made up for it and havent bought another game early since. Other than Archeage and Ark. AA was another that got me. But I havent bought many games since then in the grand scheme. Arma III this past sale and ESO a couple years ago when it was a fire sale.
No Swotor, no Black Desert, no WoW expansions, no Wildfire or whatever that WoW rip off was called, no Rust or H1Z1, no no mans sky or gloria victus or any of the other dozens of hype train games to be lauded over the past 4 years.

This, and add the rushers-to-the-cap folks to the mix as well. Sure, everyone has a different experience and from that a different memory of things. Personally I only had a couple bugs (since I had a new rig), and had the Villas as a setback (that level range remained a boring chore until Turan was added). Nothing else... True, I started with 4 characters and played Tortage with them for getting the different perspectives, and then leveled in my own pace (a.k.a. slowly, as a rusher would say ), so when I got to problematic places, they were already fixed probably. Sure, I've red all the drama on forums, but barely noticed anything myself.... Yep, I'm with crippins
I must have played AoC for 5k hours+ and TSW for 2k hours+
It´s not that Funcom makes bad games, it´s just that they do their utmost to infuriate players with constant lies and deception and they launch games in a state unfit for public scrutiny.
I expect CE to be in a very rough state at launch. The combat looks terrible and the map looks tiny. Anyone coming from ark and being used to complain about Ark being unpolished will likely die from raw outrage.
But give them two years and I expect CE to become a solid survival game. I´m ready to spend a few thousand hours and $29.99 for that.
...and here´s a good pro-tip: Take screenshots of all info given to you by Funcom. They will ninja edit old info to make it look like they never said what they said, and they will remove videos and deny that they ever existed.
When a youtuber posts their playthrough of the game, mute the commentary and scroll have way through the video and watch for 5 minutes. Then you can decide for yourself if you like the game or not.

I also can't think of any Funcom game that didn't tank in some way, so i expect Exiles to follow that tradition.
not sure Conan Exiles is going to be any fun throughout its entire early access lifespan (and then discontinued before release).
I loved it. It was just lacking content in the later levels

If I remember correctly it was 40+ that was broken/missing content

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
There is always need for drama here.
