TERA News - The TERA community has spoken. Over seven thousand players voted in last week's "Name the New Class" poll. Choices included Paragon, Moondancer, Sentinel, Valkyrie and Glaivedancer. The overall winner has been announced as the Valkyrie. En Masse will now be going forward with the name for the new class.

    This was my least favorite choice, Valkyries in Norse Mythology were described as a lancer or depicted as using a sword and a shield. It's not what this class is supposed to be. @blueturtle13 I voted for the same.

    I'd say you're wrong.  They are not exclusive to just swords and shields.







    I'd say that you didn't read my comment. I didn't say that they were exclusive to shields and swords; I also mentioned lancer. Which is what the photo above depicts; lancers use a spear and (most of the time) a shield. Google image search is awesome, isn't it? ;)

    I wonder if the Valkyrie will follow the same pattern as the other classes added to Tera.
    1. Get released and are completely broken
    2. Community nerd rage on forums causing Bluehole to knee jerk react by nerfing them into ground
    3. Slowly get brought back to a playable state

    Also, they have released 5 classes now and 4 are DPS and 1 is tank. Dont need more DPS at this point. But, a new support class would probably be ignored because everyone wants to zerg rush with DPS now.

    New class looks interesting. But keep in mind that +12 is the new +9... I can't believe the number of people wandering around with +15 weapons.

    I understand making gender-locked classes is easier on resources, and that females are far more popular in TERA. That said, with, what was it, 4 or 5 new classes added (?), you'd think we could get at least one that was a male.
