Here's a snip it from the March 2017 news letter
http://www.pantheonmmo.com/newsletter/2017_march_intro/Last, but not least, our community spotlight this month is all about Nick. He says he’s thinking of a new name for Pantheon. Maybe we can help him out?
A new name? I don't know what I think about this, is this good or bad?
Comments
When I write a piece I sometimes give it a name just so I can refer to it. Then, as the work grows towards completion and I've had time to flesh it out, really "live with it", it might make more sense to give it another name.
Good or bad thing? Neither, it's just how the creative process works.

Below is what he is talking about...
What is your main character's in-game name and how did you come up with it?
I haven't decided on a character name for Pantheon. Right now I just go by "Nick" or "NickHotS" in the community. I've used several different 'RP' names in past MMORPGs, but I usually create a new name for each MMO I play. I definitely need to put some thought into at some point!

The Chewy Goodness Behind PantheonNo, our headline this month is not talking about gnome cookies or a dwarf bake. We’re talking about LORE. In this issue of the Pantheon newsletter Medawky talks with Loremaster Justin Gerhart on the story behind Pantheon, how Justin came aboard the team and the duo discuss some of the reasons behind the decisions in writing the huge story of Terminus.
We also take a look back at February in March’s ICYMI. The team is continuing to grow right alongside the community and the game itself. And talk about growth! Have you seen the new FAQ? It’s humongous! One could get lost for days in all that juicy Pantheon info.
Last, but not least, our community spotlight this month is all about Nick aka NickHotS. He says he’s thinking of a new name for Pantheon. Maybe we can help him out?

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.
After Vanguard: Saga of Heroes I think we are lucky it isn't called Old Skool: We Only Want to Group
<meh, pretty lame, but I can't think of anything catchier >
But who cares? Ill play it in any case, I don't think I ever played a game because of it's name, because it is a sequel for something I liked but never for the name.
I have to admit that I like Pantheon though, it is short, elegant and simple.
How about "Parking Lot Employees Fall of the Risen"
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

I have not put any thought into a title myself so i won't try at this point lol.
I do know that i personally don't like when devs try to use the PAST o sell their new game, example that other game with references towards DCUO.Your not selling that old game, your trying to sell your new game so let's let the new game's merits sell itself.
I think perhaps the answer lies in what the developer feels is the main selling point of the game.Example Warcraft is not that good a choice because the game is NOT about crafting even though it has crafting.I do not think i have ever seen a thread posted about Wow crafting so just saying.
Now as much as i despise Chris Robert's ,Star Citizen is an excellent choice for a game name which represents exactly what the game is about.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
But maybe it was just because Brad was hoping this game would save his career and reputation, lol
