Shroud of the Avatar News - The Portalarium team is inviting all Shroud of the Avatar players to take part in an Epic Boss Fight this Friday, March 17th. During the event, everyone will be taking down more than a few of the game's biggest, baddest bosses.

    I wanted to love this game, I really did. Sadly it turned out to be the most instanced game I have ever played and the combat (imho) is sub par at best, a damn shame really.

    The devs didn't want to listen to their backers... tough luck.

    I can't wait to see what they're going to do for their Episode 2 3 4 and 5.

    Bankrupt, maybe.

    That is all these mmorpg's have become are instances...raiding...Bosses.

    Even worse is that MOST of the time Boss fights are less fun than a normal trash mob.That is because their too lazy to make good quality scripts for the Bosses so they just make the Boss immune to all your good fun abilities.
    I have a great STUN..too bad the boss is immune.
    I have the highest tier sleep spell,,,too bad immune
    I have a CC ability that immobilizes ..too bad immune
    I have an awesome poison spell,too bad immune
    I have a great debuff,lowers enemy defense by 25%....immune
    I have Shield Bash that knocks back and stuns ..too bad immune
    immune ..immune,don't bother using any abilities,just play whacka mole or spam spells non stop like it's 1999.

    So yeah most of the time Boss fights are NOT fun,they are only there for loot reasons.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    Yeah, SOTA is the wrong game to say is all about boss fights lol.
