Questions about BDO

Is it possible now to trade your goods between players directly or do you still have to use the AHs around the world?

Is is possible to stay away from PVP in BDO at low levels?

Do you lose gear on your character if killed in PVP?  What do you lose if you are killed in PVP basically what is the death penalty.

Also can you jump in a boat and go around the world and explorer without getting killed by players or is BDO like ArcheAge.

Also can I buy a house and let my friends use it for crafting or do they need houses as well?

No player trading except potions, as far as I know, that become bound when traded.

PvP is enabled when you do a quest that's required to level from 49-50.

If you die in pvp and you did not flag on the person you lose nothing but a little time. If you are the aggressor then you lose karma, if you are negative karma then you suffer gear downgrade and gem loss on your gear.

If you are level 50+ you can be killed by players outside any safe area. Pretty much outside any town/city. After playing AA the boat/swimming mechanics in BDO will make you wanna punch yourself in the dick.

No, the house system in BDO is limited.

PvP is only enabled at level 49 and even then only if you complete an optional quest. If you don't want to get involved with PvP, don't do the quest and nobody can bother you. You're only missing out on a few levels of grinding for better weapons and armour, which you don't need anyway if you don't PvP. I believe the exception to this is if you join a guild an the guild gets involved in a guild war. I play solo so I have no experience of this. As far as I know you can go anywhere if you are not PvP enabled but I haven't explored the new ocean areas yet to be sure. Generally speaking BDO is more PvE player friendly than Archeage though.

edit. I have three homes and haven't noticed any option to enable friends to use them.

The only areas where you generally get PKed are the popular grinding spots. Outside of that, you're pretty much free to explore as you please, and you have to be really, really unlucky for someone to gank you just for the lulz.

They largely wrecked things for griefers when they took away xp loss and crystal shattering from PvP. The only thing they can make you do these days, is make you lose a few minutes of time with respawning. So most of the players who were only interested in doing that sort of thing seem to have wandered off to other MMOs.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

You can visit, but the tools and such aren't usable if you don't own the house.
