Your level of Snake-oil Salesman has increased.
So... were they removed from the referral program or not? It's not a tough question.
I think you fail to see the whole picture here or are deliberately trying to force us into thinking with one track minds.
The point is, Steven Sharif called Steven Messner a liar when he was only reporting the information Kickstarter gave him. That information was not modified, edited, or changed and was what David Gallagher had stated.
Kickstarter believed they removed the pledges from the program and they [Intrepid] even TOLD them they had removed them.
The issue is not whether they were removed anymore.
What this is about is Intrepid's loss of integrity and whether or not we can continue to trust them.
No. That's your spin that fits into your campaign.
If I am reporting something as fact, I don't rely on a statement from one source. I do my due diligence and verify it independently. It's how the world of journalism works.
You just want to continuously move the goalposts to fit your narrative.
Oh, so you're a big bad reporter now? Where do you report your articles? I'd like to see all of these different statements from multiple sources, etc.
Further, why would you get multiple statements from Kickstarter? Shouldn't we trust their communications director or is the company just not trustworthy in your eyes?

When you're reporting on issues that have consequence for a bunch of paid in consumers, it's pertinent to give them the full story as it is, when there are two sides saying different things that have an effect on those consumers, the full story is both of those conflicting statements. Not just the one that supports the angle you choose.
You already saw those conflicting statements play out in real time here, but sure play obtuse to what he's talking about.

The thing is you should always be cautious about anything you are investing in, seems most gamers are new to this, however the one thing I see is a lot of hunting for something wrong in this, taking a look at Prescience for example. Dude has 150 comments, 6 discussions and all are about what's wrong with AoC. That's a little overboard If you ask me, I get if you don't like a game, its not you cup of yea but man relax a bit.
I like the thought of this game, hope it releases so I can play, wont back it or any KS for that matter but I'm not going to go on a crusade to try my hardest to make something out of nothing.

Eh, the KS is over, it's a little late for it to be about that.
Crowdfunding continues.
You don't see how this is going to play out? Here's a hint....I'm sure all of those interested are going to be up in arms, that Intrepid followed through on reimbursing their band of marketeers.
You really think your angle here is going to have much traction going forward? Few are going to care about the he said she said of that article, they're going to care whether "promises" were kept or not. As they always were.... and will always. That's all that matters to gamers/consumers.
The outcome here is totally in Intrepid's favor. KS took no action, Backers and Intrepid get their KS success, the world keeps turning.

You should apologize and PC Gamer was completely accurate while you sat here and attacked them post after post when in fact everything on that article was accurate. You are not in a position to defend anyone any longer.
You should be a man and apologize for what was said. The blame falls on Kickstarter and Intrepid. Intrepid did not follow the rules or the request of Kickstarter. Intrepid told Kickstarter they were complying and bought time.
" Kickstarter’s director of communications, David Gallagher, told me in an email. “[Intrepid Studios] told us that Kickstarter pledges would be removed from the program, making it entirely separate from the Kickstarter project, which we saw as an acceptable solution. "
This is disgusting.
Um, go back and read my posts. I never once said anything about the PC Gamer author lying. The only thing I did was ask Steven to come in and post what he had told me in discord. I constantly said I was curious as to what the author would say and was wondering why it was taking to long.
You act like someone has killed your dog bro. Not even the author seems to be upset.
I would like to mention though you guys immediately question Steven's words even though he posted here twice yet you take the author's words at face value. Why aren't you asking for proof from him? Pretty hypocritical. We have no sources or proof. Only his word.
Your go-to is to further discount what the author is saying? You don't know what you're doing do you?
Simply pointing out your hypocrisy, my dude. Not saying the author is right or wrong.
