Forums getting blocked on public internet

Have run into issue 2 times where public internet sites have denied access to MMORPG.com.  First time was Natural Bridge caverns park a few weeks ago, no reason given.

2nd time happened at a local Target today  which denied access due to being an adult or pornographic site.

What sort of hosting service are you using now because I never ran into this issue previously.

    Well "duh" you have your answer.

    Out of curiosity, were you using Firefox? Recently Firefox refused to let me into my Outlook as well as a company site. I had to turn something off regarding certificates in order to let me through.

    Perhaps that is the issue?

    I'm using Chrome on my Android phone.

    Previous to the migration to the new forums the only public internet which blocked this site was my church, because it is a "gaming" website.

    Sorry to necro this thread. But I think I have an answer. A lot of sites that have been advertising "Big Bang Empire" are facing this scrutiny. Because the ad exists here, you were blocked access.

    2 weeks isnt a necro, and yours is the first answer which seems like a posibility.

    Any idea what's up with that game which makes it questionable? I assume some sort of porn tie in.

    Just a porn game. Literally cartoon sex. But it's being advertised on every site that will sell them the space, and even google ads etc. 

    Because of this even family sites are getting blocked by parental filters and monitored public connections. Some cases people weren't even aware it was being advertised. Was on the front page of MMORPG.com here for about 4 months. 

    Edit: To add... I'm not accusing them of anything, but these ad campaigns are a hell of a way to bottle neck access to certain websites. I've even seen the ads come up on CNN's websites. I wonder if they are being filtered too?

    I actually thought of you yesterday Kyleran, I remembered this thread but forgot where it was so this bump is coming at a good time.
    Thing is my laptop at work seems to accept more ads than my pc does.

    I saw at least 3 ads of animated big boobed babes (say that one fast 3 times in a row) with titles like 'Don't show this game to your girlfriend' or 'The sexiest game ever'

    I can't say what was more in my face.. the boobs or the titles but either way it came pretty close to porn ads.
