Albion online: opinions

TilenMTilenM Member UncommonPosts: 14

What's up guys! I've just heard of this MMORPG called Albion Online (I know, how come I haven't heard of it before) that is coming out this summer and I have a question: what do you think of it so far. Does it look promising?

It is refreshing yet, could possibly become tedious.  It is about team and playing with others above most other things.  I enjoy it but am waiting for launch.  What I like the most is that you have one character per account and there is no reason to have more than one.  You an play the game without paying money etc.   It is NOT a UO successor in my opinion and I like both.  There are elements that are the same. . skills raise with use etc. but the world is not open or seamless.  It is set up for the multi-player aspect.

I didn't find it grindy because I could always do something else.  Find a group of people to play with and it is even less grindy.

I had fun playing but I think I pretty much saw what the game was in the first few days and I am not sure it will have staying power with me.

Did not like this game at all , got a founders pack 18 months ago have played at every update , The game is souless, lacking immersion and a pulse , Bland , world and classes , forgettable skills (and to few of for you to use at any given time).. Incredibly boring grind to craft , some P2W elements ...imo .............Ill be passing

Hmmm. Very insightful, thanks for that! Btw, what would you add to the game to make it more "worth staying around"?

    1.  Bigger more interesting zones, with less bottlenecky layouts.  I understand wanting ti encourage pvp, but imo they went too far.  Each tiny zone having basically 4 exits is enough bottleneck by itself imo.

    2.  More interesting loot drops.  The upcoming black market feature will help some with this but I'm not sure the implementation is headed in the right direction.  Sounds like you can only sell to the black market in one town.  IMO the black market should be in at least one town in every major region.

    3.  More skills per toon.  I hate that many games games that limit you to 5-7 skills useable at one time.  In most games it to cater to consoles and console players...  In this one it was probably because the game was supposed to be playable on tablets etc.  So few skills just feels like a cheap way to balance and dumbs it down.

    4.  Less grind, more mobs.  Been a while since I played but there used to be a real problem finding enough mobs to kill.  The world has gotten bigger, so maybe that has improved.
