There are several reviews, first impressions, feature detailing and even all that smashed together in one video on youtube somewhere. Go watch & explore the game from there or browse the online website to see whether it is a game you want to play.

If you like PVP then no, the game is based around PVP, and honestly I like the PVP that is the only fun part about Albion Online is PVP, PVE is awful its boring, and I fall asleep doing that which means that if you want PVE only then...

    1.) FFXIV is better
    2.) Skyforge
    3.) Elder Scrolls Online

    Maybe these not sure yet.
    4.) Dauntless
    5.) Ashes OF Creation.

The only other reason I would not recommend Albion Online, currently is because of this.

The acquisition of Virtual Property against consideration in any form other than Virtual Property of the Game is expressly prohibited. If the User trades or exchanges Virtual Property in a large-scale without a comparable value obtained within the Game, then it is assumed that the User violates this rule. The User is entitled to provide counter-evidence.

There is an on going debate about this section in the EULA, there was another post somewhere on here I've been actively reading on the debate, and its true they do ban your account (If) you get a large amount of currency or items without nothing in return already been here myself as a 4 year backer, and passed the word in 5 other discords full of over 3000+ people asking if Crow Fall & Ashes OF Creation would do similar to this company, and they said no so far, but at least these companies are based outside of the U.S and so if any disputes arise I can get them settled which I doubt.

I think it's a good game.  PvP is definitely a major aspect of the game.  However, it's really a guild based game and guilds need Crafters/farmers.  Also, there is plenty to do for small groups that isn't PvP based.

You will not be able to avoid all PvP, but u can minimize it.  It's worth a shot imo.

Well, a PVE player, at later tiers it becomes full loot PvP. Early on it seems like a totally different game than later tiers. The vast majority of PVErs do not like full loot PvP, let alone a PvP focused game. However some PVErs DO like pvp mixed in, Albion doesn't really fit that as the PVE isn't that great.

EVE for example actually has REALLY good PVE, despite being a PvP focused game. EVE PVE is great, and PvP is (heavily) mixed in with it. But Albion, not so much. The PVE is pretty lackluster. EVE also has far superior crafting and economy than Albion. Also keep in mind, in Albion's own TOS, if you trade too many items, you can get banned.

Welcome to Albion Online @itsover.  Hope you enjoy the game.  As was already mentioned, the highest quality resources are indeed intermingled with areas of open world pvp, once you learn how to survive through best practices, you will do just fine avoiding it if that is what you choose to do.  Cya in game and feel free to reach out if you need a guild.  We are new player friendly.

The game is a false prophet. I got into it for a couple of weeks, me and friends with founder packs, enough time to realize what the game is and then promptly left. I would give you my account if I could.

99.9% of what you craft is junk that you craft just to increase your skill so you can maybe make the top tier stuff for the top players who are guild fighting.

Its the same stupid crafting economy from games from 10 years ago. Its just a grind. The crafting and adventuring is literally so simple it can be played on a tablet

Legends of Aria (anciently Shards Online) is a MUCH better game if you look for a UO like experience. And the game is still in alpha... yet I wouldn't play Albion over it.
But if you don't like PvP, I don't recommend it either.
The alpha for LoA is closed right now , and is a FAR reach from a UO experience in its current state..

I'm playing since Shards Online, and yeah, it's an alpha so it's obviously not finished, but I like the direction way more than even finished Albion and I'm enjoying my alpha time a lot.

Of course, don't buy if you don't want to play an alpha and wait, I forked out $40 back then for Shards and my pledge remained for LoA.

But I wouldn't play Albion even if it was free. I play every alpha stage of LoA. The progress is impressive, those guys work hard, and I feel they go in the right direction.

At the end of the day, it's just my opinion of course ;)
The point i was making is that even the Alpha for LoA is closed right now , no date when avavilble again ....

I been playing since the start up also and do agree that it has much better approach and direction than Albion towards a UO experience , lets hope they pull it off

Personally, I would not recommend Albion Online if somebody was looking for a full fledged MMO to play full time, there are much better options out there regardless of your preferred style of game play.

Having said that, I actually bought a founders pack, and have had fun trying the game out during the beta's.

I do not treat it as a full fledged MMO to play full time, I treat it as a mobile MMO, that I play while out and about with work, and in that context, it works, and is fun (for me, at least).

    Lol don't like PvP?
Then AO is the wrong game.

Go research the game before you use your money, but in any case even if you end up liking the game i personally don't support this pre-release pack baits. I still don't understand why people go and buy founder packs n such. Such a bait imo. I personally dont know much about Albion, i just don't care for game that is not ready/released yet.

Personally I love how you like to say there is another post on here somewhere, it was your post.  You got caught cheating and the dev even replied in the post to you specifically since you created the thread about it and linked your chat log.

    It went something like this:
Your in-game chatlogs, and the identity of the account that gave you the gold, leaves us with no doubt that you did indeed purchase gold from a 3rd party website. The fact that account who gave you the gold even said "Hi, I'm delivery" does not help, either.

As far as to the poster of this thread if you do not like PVP it really wouldn't make sense to buy a game that has a main focus on that.  Sure it has some PVE elements but those are secondary to the games design as a PVP game.
