I am lost, please help me find a game.

I feel pretty dead inside playing MMO's now.  Everything I play feels like a grind and like I've done it 1000 times (which I have).  I have finally grown out of MMO's I think and unless they come with sequels to the classics like EQ3, UO2, Aion2, Wow2, ect I don't think I can play another MMO.

With that said I still want and need a game where I can progress and talk with the community.  I am not a fan of real time strategy games or Diablo style games (not horrible but just get bored).  I LOVE turn based games (Civilization!) and also been getting into card games like Munchkin and Magic the Gathering but I am not very good at them.

I like games where I can progress.  Make a character and level up ...but right now I want that in a Non-MMO format.  Moba's are hard for me because there are premade characters that I never feel attached too.

Let me know if you have any suggestion or any questions that might help you find a game for me.

Doesn't have to be free to play.

My wife also plays and is in the same boat.  Something we can do together is a + but not required.

You may want to ask this question to the multitude of pages that are dedicated to non-MMOs. I'm not saying people here don't play other games, but people generally don't come here to discuss other games.

Try GameSpace.com, the sister site of MMORPG.com.

Also the various subreddits are a good place to ask as well. There's one for just about any genre you can imagine.
