So, Destiny is finally coming out for PC. But I have been hearing only good things about Warframe.
With its open world patch, many claim that its basically same thing as Destiny.
So what do you say ?
Destiny is 60$ , Warframe free with not bad monetization.
What to choose ?

My experience has been accept a bounty, enter zone > no marker for active bounty... random escort drone > drone always dies to easy... collect caches > caches miles outside of target area and lucky to have found one.... kill target > killed everything in target marked area and still cannot find target.
I hope D2s open world zones are a lot more polished than that....
My point is that considering the cost, they end up equal but i haven't personally played D2,maybe i wouldn't like the keyboard setup in that game either.D2 streamers did not impress me with the game and often they looked unimpressed as well,so it is really hard for me to say one is better.
I think you can pretty much sum it up based on the monetary design, when one aims for f2p it is assuredly going to be an inferior product to the the high cost one. However Destiny is also a massively marketed game, meaning someone is footing the bill for a lot of wasted spending,so it comes back a bit.
Personally there is reason for me to be more interested in Elex which comes in a couple days and is yet another rpg type game from the Gothic series makers. However even this game i can see some flaws like not many mobs in areas, suspect combat,we will see.

Sure there was just one mission, but I was not blown away.
In fact I found it pretty boring run of the mill FPS shooter.

If you liked the graphics, the physics, the polish, etc. then you'll enjoy D2. I suggest read a bit more about the classes/sub-classes and check some videos, see if it matches your playstyle.
As for the games .. Destiny 2 obviously has more production values, but i like warframe's unique art style and "space ninja" vibe.
BTW, we can talk about non-MMOs in the pub now? I suppose either there aren't not enough "true" MMO to be discussed, or some classify these games as MMO anyway.
Destiny has smoother gameplay - it's a shooter by people who know shooters very well. The story is much better than D1.
That being said, there's only so much of it. I don't know that I would say I've gotten my $60 worth out of it yet, and I'm mostly done playing now until a bit more content catches up. I'm by no means a content locust, I'm not in a clan, I have never done a raid or Nightfall, but I've done almost all the single player content through two different classes now, and there isn't much left except to chase Powerful Engrams and grind Public Quests.... for a very, very slow gear score progression tempo.
Warframe - a much deeper game. Tons of content out by now. It's equal parts melee and shooter. Yes, it's very grindy and lots of time gates if you don't spend real money on it, but you also have the option of ~not~ spending money on it, whereas that isn't available with D2. The grind is real, but there's a lot more variety of things to grind here that all are rewarding in some way.wd
I would lean toward the "both" camp. Your more than likely going to buy D2 eventually, and the game is fun. Warframe doesn't cost anything to play, so no reason you shouldn't be downloading it right now.
BTW, since we are on the subject.
Warframe has a promotion in Oct (so there is still time off) that you can get some decent gear if you are a twitch prime member.
Now I would never spend a dime on twitch but since my wife is a Amazon Prime member, you get twitch prime for free .. and it translate into free warframe stuff. If you have a newbie warframe toon like me, free stuff helps a great deal.
Make no mistake, Warframe is a grind game, a game to get all the things, you arent after the best rng gun or frame, they are static in terms of stats, you are out to perfect the ones you have by grinding, grinding for more endo and credits to level your mods that boost your weapons and frame, blueprint parts and resources to build more stuff. I really look at warframe as building models, you work to get your equipment JUST right, then move on to the next piece. I havent played the new plains open world area yet, since im still in my FF14 loop, but I think its a nice direction.
Warframe is a very different proposition. I am just starting (only mastery 2 and have almost nothing).
But the point is ... one can have fun, abate different kinds, with the two games. So there is really no reason to choose.
I do agree however that both are quite different and can be enjoyed side by side.

60$ is not small investment for a game right now. And for some reason I have feeling that D2 is pretty short content wise, for MMO-like game at least.
If not, then perhaps by the time you grow tired of it Destiny 2 will have been out for long enough for it to have a discounted price.
Less than 60 hours if your a completionist...that plays super slow.
To be honest, I like how Destiny 2 looks, story and gameplay a lot more than I do warframe so far. Destiny 2 is obviously a far higher quality/production game. However, less than 60 hours, probably a lot shorter than that for most people as most people don't play super slow...I ended up skipping the purchase of Destiny 2 and going for something else.
But, warframe is both free and has TONS of content (even if its grinding and some of it is time blocked) and will (likely) continue getting updates. However, animations/graphics are kinda on the B grade side of things, but I think the art style is fine (but that is more a personal opinion thing).
You can tell its B grade because enemies will randomly get flung and stuck to shit and the way they get flung from being killed looks like animations from Garry's Mod...no joke, it looks like Garry's Mod style animations rofl. The death animations are so terribly bad its actually kinda funny.
But hey, the game is free and with enough grinding (and a bit of luck) you can still earn platinum to buy things. Can't expect a Destiny 2 style quality game for free lol.
With that said, I don't have an actual opinion on the game itself since I just started today...but tons of content to look forward to is awesome...for free....

So that's my personal opinion. Graphics alone wont make me buy D2, and that's all it has to offer... good graphics.
Since Warframe community is bigger in my country, I tend to choose Warframe.
And of course, PARKOUR!!!
