The actual impact of the hot fixes that were implemented for the 10.1 were mostly clean up.
It's funny because 1) in software development terms, that's not what "hot fix" means; 2) a "clean up" is semantically not an impact in this context, but an action.
When the dev sounds like they don't really understand what they're doing, you're in for a fun ride. Hopefully the technical folks are a bit more precise in their understanding of the topics at hands.
And the she even manages to tell the guy to stop talking about that topic in the end, basically, lol. Nice attitude.
That being said: good luck for tomorrow. And the days after that....
Game is still in alpha right? If so and the patch ends up "screwing it all up " so to speak and takes down the servers for a week or two, no big deal I assume.

''Unique three-faction PvP system, where the third faction is allowed to set its alliances on a nation by nation basis. PvP is entirely optional with much of the world being protected from it and players being able to progress entirely without ever getting involved in PvP.''
Oh yes I do like this already. The fact that PvP is completely optional. Since you can tailor missions it reminds me of Anarchy Online which is a game I loved.
Has the game changed much in the last two years? I played it back when the other guys owned it before fractured came out and it was pretty weak.

It's the first time that they patch it in the last 2 years. Patch was supposed to be 6 months ago, after the game had been offline for over a year. It failed back then.
We'll see how it goes today, but it's off to a rough start. Seems like they may not have tested the patching with a comparable dataset as exists on the live servers, so there's definitely more risks that it goes awry...

Might end up in a complete wipe
There was no push 6 months ago to have failed. We were going to do a push, but realized there was a lot more to do to Repop to get it up to HE's new patching system. Over time, this will improve as we get Repop current to the HE version.

You can play on the words all you want, but reality is that you were ramping up and had even announced a date for the patch and missed it.
