It's ok, Game development is not for everyone and admiring screenshots is free so just enjoy it for what it is

AFAIK they are using dynamic cube maps to get those reflections which gives similar results with way lesser processing cost. They explained their process in their last years Citizencon panel about Graphics and Tech Development.
