This morning those of use received a message on phone, radio, and tv that a missle was on the way to Hawaii (This is not a drill).
It turned out to be a false alarm caused by worker hitting the wrong button during shift change at Hawaii Emerancy Management center. We did not receive word that it was a false alarm till 38 minutes after the warning was transmitted.
To say things were in bit of a panic here is a gross understatement!

Yeah, I would be offline in seconds there. Being told about a upcomming nuclear hit on your location would probably panic most sane people.
That would've been an "Oh fuck!" moment for sure.
Worker should be in those "Want to get away commercials". I am assuming he/she got fired, I am sure it was an honest mistake, but damn, i'd feel bad for the worker.
If It with me, I'd just go sit in my car, it has anti-nuclear radiation filter (supposedly) and then hope for the best.
