This morning those of use received a message on phone, radio, and tv that a missle was on the way to Hawaii (This is not a drill).

It turned out to be a false alarm caused by worker hitting the wrong button during shift change at Hawaii Emerancy Management center.  We did not receive word that it was a false alarm till 38 minutes after the warning was transmitted.

To say things were in bit of a panic here is a gross understatement!

Hmm, so it is either quitting in the middle of a raid or death?

Yeah, I would be offline in seconds there. Being told about a upcomming nuclear hit on your location would probably panic most sane people.

    yeah . . .

That would've been an "Oh fuck!" moment for sure.

Worker should be in those "Want to get away commercials". I am assuming he/she got fired, I am sure it was an honest mistake, but damn, i'd feel bad for the worker.

If It with me, I'd just go sit in my car, it has anti-nuclear radiation filter (supposedly) and then hope for the best.
