Would you like turn-based combat in MMOs?
i think it would be fun to play a MMO with turn-based combat, like in Final Fantasy or Divinity, or even with 3d third person view.
What do you guys think?

Adventuring, crafting, raiding, dungeons. No - well 50% maybe on dungeons.
I was kind of hoping Trion would go that route with Rift or Trove using the dynamics/lore in those games but Atlas Reactor came which is a good game but such a hard genre to stand out in, using characters and story in a game already loved seems a more solid choice.

If there is an AAA open world MMO with turn-based combat, let me know.

I don't think turn based MMO is popular else they won't all die or in the process of dying.
There are probably more turn based MMO on mobile. I think Atlantica Online and Stone Age also try to go mobile when the game went life support from poor population.
The other issue is that if there is a lot of enemies on the screen at once you could end up waiting for a very long time for the turn to finish or to be able to do something. This is why I am not a big fan of simulations like Civilization.
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
Not sure how MMO it really was, but Nadirim fit this "I mean, you can walk around, like in any other MMO, but if you encounter an enemy, you switch into separate combat instance, it would affect raids and dungeons / instances too."
Nadirim was an enjoyable browser game a few years back.
SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter
Still worth a try-out if turn based is your thing, but know you will NEVER compete with the big boys without spending $10,000+ and even just playing casually above a certain level requires either money or much (MUCH!) experience of the game.
Old school as well. More about the journey than the destination.
Yes, MMOs are for masses, but this doesnt mean that its impossible or bad to have turn based combat in an open world MMO.

JapRPGs turned based combat systems like FF and Suikoden sadly have the combat as it weakest link in my opinion and I never really liked Atlantica either.
But it would certainly like something like X-COM for instanced multiplayer dungeons/instances. It would make an awesome CORPG (like GW & DDO).
