    They should abandon the MMORPG thing, remove all quests, combat, etc... and just re-launch it as a social/vr chat platform.  Re-market it as such and I think they might have a chance of making something of it.

    As a MMORPG, though, it just falls completely flat. The content is just not worthy of the setting/universe containing it.

    They should have chosen The Dragonbone Chair , as the IP from Tad Williams to make an MMO , it is a great setting for an MMO ... Have said that since the day Otherland was announced .. ohh well

    The setting is the least of Otherlands problems, the game is an utter mess and has been since “release.”

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    Otherland would probably have made a decent single player RPG, if they had stuck to the books. Instead they tried to MMO it and lost a great deal of the context of what it was even about. :/
