The part about paying for the ten minute immunity to being attacked in PvP, which sane PvE player would be in the market for that. Seems an odd thing to do. Of course if your goal is to tell PvE players to stay away I guess you have succeeded.
I played Black Desert Online and that is a PvP game but I never had to avoid PvP but I was never at the level they could engage in PvP with me ,so that was a good way to attract PvE players like me. I loved that game and I played it to my heart's content. Why would I play Bless with a system like this that makes me pay to avoid PvP?

BDO is a bit different, because if you aren't flagged for PVP, then attackers take a Karma hit if they attack you, my highest level character is now a level 59 ranger most of the PVP i have been involved in, which isn't much tbh, is when i have initiated it myself, if you want to get involved in PVP then you really need to join a guild that engages in node/guild wars etc. the game is really very PVE friendly in that regards.
Pay as you go PvE only is an interesting idea. I would consider it if, the overall gameplay was enjoyable, and the PvE fee was very low.

No it looks quite clear to me,this wil be a p2w cash shop, the ONLY words they were careful to mention was no loot boxes but that does not eliminate any cash shop from still being pay to win.
mounts/consumable/boosts,yep p2w. oh and the word >>>MORE,meaning likely everything under the sun except loot boxes.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Pay for PvE only is one of the most idiotic ideas I've ever seen in an MMO. PvE'rs should be pissed that they are even floating this idea out there. I will play and not pay for those tokens. As a self prophessed sheep, I will be killed...so what.
I'd been interested in this game for quite some time, though not following it super closely. Sad to see that it's a definite pass for me.
I have to pay money to not be harassed by PvP? No thank you.
Typical ignorant player here.
They added the potion exactly because of players like you. Crying because "forced" PvP in a PVP(!!!) game, and yet .. here you are , crying because you can now avoid PvP at the cost of real money - not until max level - ( which btw, you can earn "real money currency" in-game too , and so , you don't really need to spend any more real money beside the game price ) .
So , for people who are all-over this PvP potion and crying because of it, I say .. good. Very good. Stay the fuck away from a PvP game if you don't like to PvP.
I am also glad that this potion is the only thing you are actually crying about, because is nothing game-breaking. Moreso , it helps QQ-ers. So .. say thanks at least.
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
I hope they make it so that miss chances aren't determined by level difference when it comes to PvP, aion had it which made owpvp a boring experience while leveling, either you were 3 levels above your target and you could just brute force them to death or they did the same thing to you. It was hard getting good fights with that kind of system.
Iselin: And the next person who says "but it's a business, they need to make money" can just go fuck yourself.
I'm not touching Bless until i see the newly optimized PC specs, because right now Neowiz is using the Japanese servers PC specs as reference; which is bizarre because the Japanese specs are deliberately increased due to the poor engine optimization, and the actual specs for the Engine are much MUCH lower.
The engine doesn't even support DX11, it's architecture pipeline is built around the 9.0c build of Direct-X, plus it's the Unreal 3 engine- which is already a BIG red flag.
Unreal 3 is notoriously guilty of being a messy engine to build an MMOrpg world in, and while i want to support Neowiz on this project, i really wish i was a time-traveler, because there is no way to know how good this is going to turn out for Neowiz on a technical scale.
All i can do is hope for the best, and expect for the worst.

Agreed, I think they are out of their element for EU/NA release with this game which is unfortunate. With the new combat system being mediocre at best (IMO) and an emphasis on the cash shop for a B2P game, it becomes worrisome as they brand it "pay for convenience" ie: Black Desert Online.
Either way wish them the best I just don't see it lasting for it's reprise seeing as most of it's features require a decent amount of players to keep going. Only time will tell.
The story behind "Aeria Games have canceled their publishing deal with Neowiz games" .
Well , I knew from the beginning that it was not Aeria Games who came to Neowiz and said "Thats it, the deal is closed" and that it should of been something like this
You might not be able to answer this one, but we have to try: We recall that the Neowiz/Gamigo partnership fell apart over “quality standards.” Can you explain what specifically was lacking in that version of the game, knowing how much the do-over set the game back in terms of a launch window?
We worked hard with Gamigo because we both wanted to ship a high-quality game with Bless Online. However, we felt that we should spend some more time in development to make the game better, but our timeline didn’t align with Gamigo’s business milestone. That was the main reason we agreed to mutually terminate our contract. We wanted to take the time to get it right, so we are. Gamigo is still a partner and they are wishing us well with our self-publishing effort for Steam.
Aka Gamigo ( Aeria Games ) wanted to rush the game .. just for the $ , while Neowiz said, fuck off.
VERY good call on Neowiz for (mutually) breaking the contract with Aeria Games.
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
Disclaimer: I havent played yet so I can only reflect on what I've read and seen from gameplay videos.
This game looks awful. It should have been released years ago and it shows. It's outdated UI and lame combat offers nothing competitive in a 2018 market. Hard pass for me. I would never B2P another Korean mmo unless it's at least the caliber of BDO. I cant wait til the hype train crashes and all the butthurt idiots who wasted their money start bitching at the publisher, begging for a refund. As always, they wont care because they already got their money. However, as stated in previous comments, supposedly Steam offers a refund within the first two hours of gameplay.
It sounded great until the PvE part where you must buy immunity to ahats via the cash shop, and the fact that the end game is pvp based. Oh well, I'll save my money. Not pvp'd since DAoC and then only cus I didn't know any better. Way too many clowns around these days to enjoy pvp/rvr.
No trials. No tricks. No traps. No EU-RP server. NO THANKS!
Just because we don't want to participate in PvP we are ignorant and afraid. Just not interested in that type of game is all. Why is it a problem that you have to use these adjectives when people don't wish to participate in this game. There is no loss obviously of these people who don't want to participate in PvP because they were never interested in it. Is that so hard to understand?
This is not a pve game I don't understand all the whining. If all you want is a pve game then go play any single player game out there . Pvers are just luckly most mmorpgs have pve elements to them, period. But most like 95% are not designed around the over it's just a fact of life in this day and age.personally I think it's retarded to have a game where I can not engage in combat unless given permission to engage or strictly instances based. But I do however agree that safe zones need to exist . Well enough about that and on to my actual comment.
In the interview they mention housing this is great news as before there was no mention of it and I was really turned off by this game bit I would like to know more about the housing other then the veg mention of it. Such as.. will housing be instance based or will housing be anyhwere? Or in designated housing areas? Like in Archeage for example. Also will there be any purpose to the house like farming livestock ect..? Or will it be for storage and cosmetic reasons only . What other metrics or purpose will the housing entail . I personally would prefer no instanced housing like in star wars galaxies or archeage for example.. will housing require taxes to be paid . How in depth will the housing system be or will it be a facade?
You don't understand the complaints? Neowiz and the Bless team desperately want PvE money because PvP gamers aren't going to float the expensive loan this game took out. So they're trying to court PvE gamers for money while trying to placate them with virtual platitudes and a more expensive game bill. They're not giving them a pve experience. There giving them the ability to not be attacked in a pvp environment. That's two very different things. Plus the end game cash shop tax for pve pills will not go over. PvE players aren't going to get converted to PvP. That's a ludicrous expectation.
You're right though, pve players should skip this title altogether if they can't deal with those terms. People with a certain play style preference shouldn't expect a game to change its design to accommodate them. We see the same thing in games where pvp is weak or non-existent. The pvp players come out of the woodwork with all sorts of wild salty claims.
Maybe pve gamers are interested in magi-tech and robo mecha blended with traditional fantasy. That's not a common setting the way it's being presented in Bless. So it seems reasonable some pve players would show interest.
THis is one of the worst analysis I;ve ever readon this website. It is so overly opinionated on things the poster has not a single clue about that the entire thing could be dubbed trolling.
1. You have access to Neowiz financials ? 2. "Pve players should skip it" on nothing more then self important internet forum opinions ? Get real. 3. "Wild salty claims" woah pot meet kettle 4. Anyone who spams a anti pvp pill is an idiot ,the pill is doing nothing more then most bad pvpers do, and that is flee running for the hills with an instant escape.
These kinds of posts are getting very very very tiring and I'm out of ignores.

So many MMOs have been hyped here, then they launch and they are forgotten or ragged upon over their massive shortcomings, (*cough BDO, AA) He's not wrong, he's just getting ahead of the game.
Tell ya what, I'll bookmark this thread and in one years time I will revisit it and we will see just how well Bless has been received in the Western market.

Any "hype" is the fault of the player. Plain and simple. It's as if they are permanently 10 years old.
Being excited for something is one thing. Being excited for something AND creating this internal narrative that x game is going to be "y awesome and z beyond amazing" and will solve all their gaming woes is something else all together.
There is no need to sticky this post. I'll tell you exactly how it will fair. It will be somewhere between Revelation and Black Desert/Archeage.

Thats some incredibly delusional revisionist history right there.
Too bad straight up lying cant change what really happened.
Until I got to the bit where to disable PvP you had to buy an item from the cash shop....
yeah. Good on them for making another PvP game, I guess. Count me out, I'm a carebear.
