What Non-Superhero MMO should me and my friends play to RP a Superhero/Vigilante themed Guild? 
It could be a Robin Hood and His Band of Merry Men style vigilante group to a Justice League/Avengers style Supergroup.

We tossed around ideas and some MMO that came up included Wildstar, WoW, EQ2, Gloria Victis, Trove, Blade and Soul, Dragon Ball Global Online, and Defiance 2050. However, we aren't sure.

Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be one of those, they were just what happened to come up in our discussions.

    You should play Darkfall and roll as Alfar to rob from the "evil races" aka other people... join the all Alfar clan I am in or form your own... its a pretty good game. Conan Exiles is about to come out this May which is really good too.

    I actually tried this on Ultima Online many years ago and I'm sure it would still be viable on one of the decent private servers around the place.

    The ability to equip your character with clothes resembling costumes may also appear to the ideal you're working with.  Also given that a well armed and coordinated group of players can pull of some truly tremendous kills, it's worth a go!
