If you played the original Defiance, then you've played this one too. Basically same game. They changed the talent trees for the classes they added. So in a way you have less freedom of character development.
Same story, same quest. Slightyly better graphics.
So it's similar to what The Secret World did with Secret World Legends then?

The changes to combat are more extensive from TSW to SWL than from Defiance to 2050. The move from the grid approach to class based trees is similar, but the Wheel is more nuanced than the grid so the change isn't quite as stark. Ego power is a function of class rather than an early on choice of one of four. Only one of four classes was available to try the first go round, so the abilities of the remainder have yet to be detailed so far as I know.
The game is exactly the same as Defiance aside from dumbed down classes. Without a side by side comparison you won't see any graphics differences really, models are identical, etc. Content is exactly the same. Nothing to see here.

Classes are more defined early on. Graphic changes on PC seem pretty minimal. Content is predominately the same, but some minor alterations have been made. What there is to see depends on the beholder, not on the constraints of your personal bias.
Those that never played the original and considering jumping in now that a freshly released version will soon be on offer may find 2050 betas of particular interest, and to them all of it will be new, and accordingly will provide plenty for them to see.
I'm grateful for the key as I went n expecting a sequel or a revamp or something like that. Instead it looks like the same game, the only change I found was class talents got changed.
Now I'll know what it is about and not get confused and get it in the future.
Thanks for the keys, but I really don't need it to find out this is a lazy reskin money grab. This should of been a patch to the main game. Trion is a POS!

The first time around it was available for download on the first day of beta, through Glyph.
It will likely be the same this time.
