"Realistic" combat system?? From that time period? You do know that even minor injuries killed vast numbers of people, because of infection and such? Disease and infection killed more people in the various armies than the enemy did.
"Realistic" crafting?? In a video game format? Do you have any idea how mind numbingly tedious that would be?
Where do people come up with this ill conceived nonsense? I give up...

The thing about realistic crafting is that engaging in a craft would pretty much exclude all other game activities. So if you want to play a medieval blacksmith a stand alone single player blacksmith game would be better. What no takers?? What a surprise.
Isn't crowd funding MMOs dead yet? Considering the hot pile of garbage this method has churned out so far, most of which is stuck in perpetual early access, are people still hopeful for this model? I mean, when one of the few examples of a "successful" game that's made it to release is Shroud of the Avatar...
Way too little information available about this project to instill any confidence in its success.
Almost nothing about the team, except the creator's name "Ivan Usenko" and a general statement about the team having "vast" experience in game development (one of which has 21+ years experience).
Hello Wellspring,
We don't have famous developers. I can say, for example, that our Lead Artist worked on Warcraft, but it was many years ago. Some projects we can't write about because of NDA, some projects on which we worked are not well-known. But as I mentioned on the Kickstarter page all artists, programmers and game designers are professionals in game development.
About our historical consultant Dr. Mileson you can read on the site of Oxford Univercity.
Tell me please, what additional information about our project you want to read?
So a slightly different take on Life is Feudal with realistic crafting like is being planned for COE.

Hello Kyleran,
As a lot of other games we have battle system, craft system and trading. But the difference is in details. For example, we don't have HP and use armor penetration system. In many games you can craft items. How? Learn a skill, open menu and press buttom. In The Flower of Knighthood, for example, to forge the blade you will have to take out a piece of hot metal, put it on the anvil and make several hits with a hammer in different parts of the billet.
Yet another Kickstarter that tries to do a 10 million game with 600 000 funding, and advertise an experienced team without revealing their any of their names, games they've worked on, or prior positions.
Hello Vrika,
On our Kickstarter page you can find "stretch goals" where you can see that for release version of The Flower of Knighthood we need $3,5 million. $600,000 is an early access version and making it is one of the ways of development.

I think you misunderstood what stretch goal means? Or maybe that's why you put it into quotation marks to make sure people understand it's sarcasm.
"A stretch goal is an additional goalyou set for your campaign in case you exceed your initial fundinggoal, and is generally used to finance another specific aspect of your project"
The release of an unfinished game really doesn't count as stretch goal.

Hello Wraithone,
Realistic combat system means that if someone will hit you with a knife in a full plate armor, you will not take any damage, and if you will strike opponent on his head without helmet using two-handed sword, he will lose not a half of hit points but half of himself.
If realistic craft is tedious for you, then you can buy everything you need. If you are a great warrior your guild will provide you everything you need. But there are a lot of people who enjoy complicated crafting.
hmmm well I have @Dakeru on ignore but decided to read his input... Have to say i agree with him 100% there, I would hit agree but it won' let me unless I unblock you which ismy happening sorry...

@Eaglance Maybe you should read up on CoE, their crafting system is exactly this but they actually have more money then your asking for in your ks. Also alot of people on this site are critical at SBS being able to complete the game so why would yours be any different from a nearly exact game. At least they told you who their "nobodys" are...

I'm waiting to see how they emulate a hammer swing with a mouse and keyboard. I wonder if they watched the same episodes of Forged in Fire for inspiration? And what happens when they move into tailoring -- will we have to thread needles with the mouse and keyboard?
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

So what you are saying is everyone will run around in plate armor, no one will bother attacking with knives and no, complicated crafting is a small, very niche audience normally favored by people who are terribly averse to FFA PVP games.

That really doesn't say anything about how they make a hammer swing with a mouse. Is it going to be a mouse click, or mouse tracking to emulate the hammer's path. How will they adjust the power of the hammer strike, speed of movement or a button press? There's probably a dozen ways to simulate this very analog operation, none of them all that good in a digital world.
If this is the future of crafting in games, my cheap-o replacement mouse is going to need an immediate upgrade to something with greatly increased resolution. On the bright side, a new personal record! A mouse lasting only 3 days before retirement!
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

It isn't the direction crafting is headed. It's merely a misguided attempt to have crafting stand out.
I'm not knocking them for the attempt at all. Minutiae isn't what we play games for, though.
