With the launch of BFA 1 Week out im starting to getting a little gitty and some of the blizzard nostalgia is creeping in. Really looking forward to playing. I'm not sure if BFA will hold my attention as long as BC , Wrath or MOP did or whether i will grow tired of playing after  a month like Cata & WOD.

I'm less excited for this expansion than any in memory.  When you boil it down, there's quite a lot that has been done for this expansion, but I just can't get into it.  The story feels boring so far, despite Blizzard's efforts to get it out there and build hype.  Warmode is something that I just can't get behind, and I'm really disappointed that experiencing this expansion's "new shiny" seems to be at least partially locked behind PvP to experience it in full.  I hope I've just jumbled the information in my own head, and eventually it'll pull me in as the story develops, but as of this moment, I haven't even reinstalled WoW in preparation.  This expansion's launch, at least, will pass me by without even a glance for the first time since vanilla launch.

Almost zero. I love wow, I preordered the expansion and I'll no doubt play the hell out of it, but it seems pvp focused, hordecentric and thematically confused. Not to mention I'm still pretty burned out after a mage tower grind, which I did enjoy, but ughh, 138 attempts on the guardian druid really spent my enthusiasm for the game.

I'm mostly excited for warfronts, but even that is kinda low. I was more excited for legion.

Zero.  I am super excited about the vanilla server though and playing WoW again from before it decided to focus on recruiting little children instead of making their adult audience happy.  That Ghost whatever guy just completely gutted everything good out the game, and then pissed all over it.

None. Probably the first expansion I won't buy. Tired of blatant favoritism of the horde, tired of terrible writing overall, tired of gear grinds, tired of faction grinding and daily quests, tired of grinding each expansion's stupid gimmick only to have it made irrelevant, tired of idiotic 'balance' changes which make entire classes near useless... I'm just tired of WoW and everything it represents. There's nothing new here, just the same stale bullshit in a shiny new wrapper, being run by a team of people whom I believe to have a lower collective IQ than the staff at Buzzfeed, TMZ, or regular watchers of The View.

The only IP Blizzard has which I care about is Diablo, and until they announce what they're doing with it (so long as it isn't utterly STUPID), I have no interest in Blizzard's games.

Pretty excited. WoW expansions are always a huge event with tons of people coming back to the game. I dont expect to play for more then a couple months, but that is longer then almost every other game that comes out generally so not really an issue.

This is the first expansion I've not bought since the beginning, happily waiting for Classic and hopefully a return to a version of the game more in line with what I want from an MMO.

I still have issues with the direction the game has gone in terms of the ridiculous gear power gap, how easy it is to get good gear...
Isn't that a bit contradictory? If it was much harder to get good gear, wouldn't the power gap be even worse between the haves and the havenots ?

About the new expansion, I'm interested in playing through the new content and landscapes, but I really don't like the way the story line goes so far. And I fear the cheesy way Blizzard will get out of this situation, too... it started almost as badly as "Garrosh goes back in time", it may end even worse. We'll see.
I expect we're looking at the Old Gods pulling the strings, like N'Zoth? (Not sure which ones are left)  My prediction is that one of them promised Sylvanas a way to save the Forsaken and is simultaneously putting evil thoughts into Jaina's head as well.  Bleeding Azeroth dry (literally) via the wound inflicted by Sargeras would allow them to come forth, maybe?  So not quite as cheezy as Garrosh hopping on his Horde Chopper and driving it to 88 MPH through the dark portal to play at being a "real orc" by learning from daddy dearest, but it's still not all that interesting to me.  BfA is very much a wait-and-see for me this round.  I hope we're both wrong.

I'll start when they introduce the next content patch after launch since due to stuff unable to attend prepatch + launch. Only missing out on a mount and couple of achievements when it comes down to it.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

The last expansion was the one that destroyed the game for me, with BfA they have taken the game in a direction that i cannot countenance, at this point i am just waiting to see what form the Vanilla version takes, but they need to get their #### together, because Elysium is looking more tempting every day. :/

Very low given that the character progression is inferior to how legion started anyway. Of course its always 'possible' that it will be better over the expansion but taking away things just to give them back to us again isn't my idea of progression, so honestly I'm only going to sub for about a month just to get my rep mostly done for flight and then quit until they finish however long it takes to implement kul'tirans.

I normally dont plug private projects, but I was looking at this Project Ascension thing which takes a different approach to vanilla. Anyone can look it up on youtube to see what its about.

    Zero...possibly less.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

hmmm pretty intersting results. Im not a huge fan of the changes WOW has made over time , so if this thread & poll is any indication of BFA sales hopefully WOW will take a hit and be forced to actually listen to the FANS.

On this site I would not take that as the general populations opinion.  This place is known for WoW hate. Making 50% here is a very good number for WoW.

No kidding ? I would have thought the opposite based on how passionate people were regarding the SylvAnus story line.

I'm excited, but not because of the game. More because my old group of IRL friends all took off of work like the good ol' days and we are having a proper LAN party. I've been absorbing the novels and each bit of lore that is being put forth and generally I liked the book Before the Storm a lot, but hate Sylvanas. Time will tell, but like others have said WoW hasn't been a game you stick with for a very very long time. I've only lasted a month in WoD and Legion.

In reality, Classic or Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen will be the true MMOs to get excited for. Anything else is just scratching for the scraps of what MMOs used to be.

Still excited for the fans though - a buddy of mine at work has been crazy excited for it, always good to see others find something they love
I'm really excited for it but at the same time im not going to fanboy for it as i have plenty of issues not only with the expansion but just the general direction wow has gone over the years.
