Someone mentioned GW2,i uninstalled very quickly as well but not the fastest.Soem recent game bantered here on this site by this site ,a f2p game i deleted in like 15 seconds. Soon i saw the first quest which was nothing more than go to npc and receive xp,i deleted the game. The npc i had to move to was like right beside the first npc, about 2 secs away.
In fairness to GW2 i did reinstall about 5-6 months later but still didn't like the game.
There was yet another game this site was trying to give mild praise or potential to that Trion was bantering around, that also was a very fast delete and so happens, that game deleted itself soon after as nobody wanted to play it.

FFXIV 1.0. I uninstalled after a couple of hours, my character got stonewalled with only "slow grinding" because I ran out of leves... Which is unacceptable for a World of Everclone like world (though preferable in something like Haven and Hearth).
Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent.

I have an excessive amount of hard drive space, ~22.5 TB, so I tend to just stop playing rather than completely uninstall. I can revisit them a lot easier and be kinder to my oppressive data limits from Comcast.
SotA was one of the fastest log outs. Just didn't click. Had some "follow me" quest that the guy kept resetting if I wasn't directly on top of him.
Didn't get along with Kritika very well either. Just didn't feel it for whatever reason.
Haven't been back to either, but I probably will at some point. They are both uninstalled at the moment due to moving HDDs around between boxes, but they made it a few months each.
but the new star wars battlefront, i was downloading the open beta and while the d/l was going i watching some vids on youtube. after 2 vids i canceled the download and never even tried that piece of trash.
FFXIV and Black Desert are tied at around 1/2 hour
Same for me but I gave them both about an hour because I always try at least two classes to test gameplay.

I know its not an MMO.....But DOTA 2 i installed and didnt even play a whole battle in tutorial before i turned it off and uninstalled...I know its a Moba but any MMORPG ive played i usually stayed with it alot longer than i did with DOTA 2....LOL
Can you guys give some details. It's interesting to know why they deserved to be treated so harshly. That's the best part
OK - I picked a huge melee character in BnS and the camera was all wonky when I started with him. I wasn't going to stick around, or pick a shorter character, after that lol.
STO - I tried it when it went F2P. I found the ground combat super awkward and just not fun. I then made it to space and it wasn't much better. I returned a few months ago and while it was better, it was still just a very awkward game.
Guild Wars 2. (Mind you this is Pre-PoF) Installed and made my character expecting to really enjoy it playing with my girlfriend and another friend. Once zoned in I go "Where are the mounts?" My friend goes "GW2 doesn't have mounts" "Welp.." Log off and I uninstalled. Total time had to be less than 4 minutes.
I didn't have same exact experience. And lasted longer. But after 3 hours when I kept seeing people putting bosses and what not on timers, I went "so they falsely advertised dynamic events. Where is the dynamic events that permanently change the world or make a difference at all? Also pretty sure timed events are not dynamic events that was a lie" and got off.
The timed events, and the nonstop repeating events all the time ruined it. Definitely had no real dynamic features that they advertised lol.
while the misleading "dynamic events" were a big disappointment, I stuck with GW2 til the level cap. I even tried some WvWvW and dungeons. My first dungeon experience was poor as it was poorly designed for all of the movement required for the classes.
I am generally quite generous with new MMORPGs. I usually give them 3 to 5 hours before I decide it's not for me. That saved BDO from the bin for example, it totally unimpressed me the first 2 hours (it looked like the usual Korean tripe), but it redeemed itself when I started understanding the way it was supposed to be played.
But there are times that I just can't bring myself to pass the first hour mark, and just give up.
In my gaming history the record goes to Mortal Online, I lasted 1 minute, and it's generous. I did my research before trying it, main complaint was that it was full of no lifers veterans waiting for newbies to spawn and kill them on the spot. But I thought, it can't be that bad, can it? Suffice to say I fired up the game. As soon as I spawned I got hit by an arrow (not in the knee though) and died on the spot, just like advertised. I just shut the window and uninstalled pronto.
Another one was SotA. 45 minutes top (the first time).
Logged in in trepidation, played the tutorial part, and I remember clearly thinking "What's this s**t". Trust me I don't do that often, the worse I do usually, is thinking "Meehhh". But I persevered, I wanted to give Richard Garriot the benefit of the doubt. I got out of the first zone. Loading screen. Walked 1 minute in the new area. Another loading screen. Walked 2 minutes in the new zone. Another loading screen...uninstalled it.
The thing with SotA is that it has also the records of uninstalls, that's the game I tried to like the most, hence the one I installed/uninstalled the most, maybe 10 times. The other times I gave it more than 1 hour though. But it was still a turd.
So what is the MMORPG that gave you such a bad first impression that didn't deserve a proper test drive? And Why?
Two to five hours is virtually no time at all when it comes to MMORPGs. I can't think of one I haven't played for dozens of hours at the very least before forming any kind of opinion on it.
As for you depiction of loading screens in SotA, you are grossly exaggerating them to the point where it undermines your general credibility when it comes to discussing the game. They have been a bit of a bother though, so Portalarium have worked at reducing load times of areas, as well as speeding up some other things such as the loading of bank contents.
There have been other recent changes to the game meant to improve the quality of life, essentially adopting some features more at home in modern games in an effort I suspect to expand their audience. I won't bore you with them as it would take more than five hours of play to get to the point where what was changed would have had much if any impact.
EQ1. The Gamestop clerk gave me 2 free trial MMORPG disks to try. I loaded EQ1 but my 'Hercules' video card couldnt play it. Loaded Lineage 1 the Bloodpledge which worked fine and I played for 6 months.

Some random Korean MMO I dont remember the name of.
Created my character, got the first quest to go kill some wolves or whatever right outside town, walked out the town gate and immediately got ganked by 3 max level people. As I was waiting to rez I saw them gank more low levels.
Revelation Online, everything from the combat to the awful UI to the abysmal questing was NOT what I want from an MMO. Still lasted a whole 20 minutes in the game in which questing only got worse....
I am a REAL sucker for a good UI I noticed. Its so bad that many of my GoG titles remain unplayed, not because of aged graphics but because of horrible UIs.

My biggest disappointment that wasn't related to gameplay but their marketing shenanigans was Neverwinter nights. I bought the biggest edition possible with the expectation that I would receive all options available. Not a few days later they introduced an extra purchasable option with the drow elf race. I uninstalled the game in disgust, vowed never to touch anything from those developers. Didn't even care that I didn't get my money's worth.
A less severe thing happened with Trion's Arceage, though in that case it was customer support completely ignoring my request. I eventually quit that game more due to the bad taste their service left me than the gameplay itself. I'm still apprehensive about revisiting Rift, though I liked the game, because support is tied to both those games.
Darkfall (#2 shortest game despite me listing it first it was first to come in mind)) played 5-10 minutes. Combat was neat, but game felt kinda lackluster on content and pvp does not make free content. Felt very...boring. I had a ton more fun on PvP ultima online shards, which also have a ton more content funny enough.
Shame, Darkfall was a complex game. Best Guild vs Guild game. But I understand why it didn't impress you.
It was not fun if you were not in a Guild. It was 100% about territory and resources control, not for solo players.
But he uninstalled after 10 minutes. There's no way to know what content a game has available in 10 minutes.

First of all this is a fun topic, not a place where people get defensive and start arguing about other people experience. Secondly, I am one of the first backers, so I was one of the first that tried the game. And as you acknowledged as well, SotA tried to address the issue with loading screens. So by your own admission, that was a problem.
So don't tell me I am over exaggerating because that's exactly the kind of experience you got when the game opened to the public. Can you just relax, read some funny stories, and maybe have a laugh?

I'm not being defensive. I am simply stating your characterization of loading in the game is overblown, because it is. They loading screens were a problem, but not to the extent you suggest, at least not anytime recently. Even now they are not quite on their stated target, so they will likely put some more effort into it.
However, I wasn't playing when it was just out of the gate, so it may have been more of an issue then, so perhaps your characterization is historically accurate, but it isn't representative of how things have been for some time.
The experience one got when the game first opened to the public is in many ways irrelevant at this point, as a great deal of work on the game has been done since then, with the last update in particular changing a good deal of what used to be.
So, yeah, I'll continue to point out when what people say about the game doesn't jive with what the game presently is, because the truth is there is a fair amount of change to it delivered at an inordinately rapid pace.
I love to read funny stories and have a laugh.
I simply don't find misrepresentations about games amusing.

Mortal online is actually a super complex game, now only if better graphics and 10x the population.
I research games a ton before i play, so i tend not to be so disappointed.
