Prolific and well-regarded fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson has written that he would be willing to give his "Mistborn" IP to CD Projekt Red for free. Sanderson wrote that he would "love to do something with CDPR. They've made by far the best book-to-video game adaptations ever".

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But to be honest, I'd rather see someone doing a high budget mobile game based on Rithmatist.
Smart move on his part. Game gets popular. . spin off TV . . Sell the books. . make RPG, board games etc. Would love a Wheel of time single player game or MMO though.
Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!
On the note of the actual books, I don't think that Mistborn particular brand of magic can be easily transferred into a game.
All he'd have to do is to write something like "This contract is governed by the law of Poland" to the license agreement.
But I agree with you about transferring the magic to the game. It's a fantastic magic system for books but it'd be hard to make into a good game.
Unfortunately people don't seem to like my suggestion about Rithmatist. It's a magic system that would be like made for a touch screen if some dev can pull it off.
But Roshar (the setting of Brandon's Stormlight archive) would be even better
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.

But a character-driven RPG alternating between Vin and Sazed would also be wonderful.
There is closure - and clearly what Jordan planned from day one.
The books are not "his writing" as such - we know there are sections of Jordan's writing as available and RJ left notes etc. - but Brandon's the writing is sensitive if "one step removed". It perhaps lacks some of the "intensity" that made Jordan's WoT interesting but on the plus side it also lacks the off-piste seemingly rambling diversions that could be hugely irritating. Presumably RJ would have developed some or all of these threads if he had lived.
In summary easy to read, journalistic in nature if that makes sense, that wraps up the WoT story. Worthwhile reading if you have enjoyed, in some cases ploughed through!, the others.
He just couldn't get Mat right in his last three books. It was just way off and Mat just didn't feel right.
Robert Jordan made Mat a very intricate character and maybe too complicated and as such Brandon just didn't manage to replicate his behavior and character correctly in the final three books. Mat Cauthon just felt like a completely different person in the last three books! It was a real shame.
It's still worth reading the last there books. Especially the Last book is outright Epic with a fantastic conclusion.
Just the more it's a shame it got a bit spoiled by him not able to get Mat Cauthon's character right in the final books.
As awesome as the Stormlight Archives are, there are still 7 more books to be written yet.
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”
