This is the 3 minutes from the tech graphics dev team demo where they showcase what they have been working on, this is a massive visual improvement over the game, and still at the prototyping stage, what was shown there already sets the vibe for what to expect from SQ42 (if you seen the trailer or the vertical slice the "coil" gas cloud disaster thing is a huge bit to the area you play on) and SC itself once gas clouds are in.

Performance tends to be the biggest enemy of graphics teams, they have to do the best looking game within the performance budget (that's actually a thing btw).
