“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”

Maybe i have heard wrong,i thought we were tired of questing in these games?I don't mind it once in a while but i don't want that to be the center point of the game.
I also like to see several events in these games that bring players together to perhaps save a fortress ,save a town/village whatever, players working together.
You can create these event hubs that happen maybe twice a day and for all level ranges.
Then maybe some leader of a town randomly hires people to do some mission alongside some other npc's that maybe has to infiltrate another town/village,you know something of coop and to me fun.
I on't want to run down linear paths because some mission says go kill 10 bandits, come back for reward,we give you points to spend on upgrades,i don't want any of that crap.
Yeah that video was awful, echoing feedback.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Sorry, waste of time and talent from Bioware.
Focus on ME and DA instead, that's what you do best (or used to do).
i'm hoping this one won't be like that and it also looks way cooler to me.
oh and as i understand it they're not going to do the whole sequel route that destiny is doing either so that's a win in my book.
I had fun once, it was terrible.

"Our default position should now be this is another FO76/Bless/(Insert game here) until we have seen the reviews. "
Here is is saying the DEFAULT position should be it's a bad game and to complain , bitch and be negative.
"That is the horrible climate that has been created, it may seem an overreaction"
Here he even admits this may seem like an overreaction.
Now go back and reread the entire thing very slowly if my breakdown didnt help you.
An overreaction admission is to do with the horrible climate. That's normal too. I think you're merely trying to make up things he never alluded to.
I'm not assigning behaviors I'm stating what behaviors he wants the DEFAULT to be based on his own comment.
The following IPs have had disastrous releases this year alone: Fallout, Metal Gear, Battlefield.
The following IPs have had disastrous releases last year: Star Wars Battlefront, Mass Effect, Marvel vs Capcom
The following IPs have died in the last few years alone: Mass Effect, Metal Gear, Dead Space, Hitman, Deus Ex, Silent Hills.
And these are just the ones I know of. Consumer confidence in the IPs that form the foundation of our medium is being rapidly shaken by bad games and entirely canceled IPs. Perhaps we should be more skeptical of games, even in IPs we love, and avoid giving games our money until they have been reviewed as quality entries, until such a time as the industry decides to start treating its established IPs with the respect that they deserve.
Why must you take these positions? Does not advance any discussion but does provide you ample opportunity to fight with posters. I'm afraid if this is your agenda you will find yourself very quickly ignored by many posters. I suggest you take a deep breath and think about how you should contribute to the topic.
That's prudent advice. One that should be taken, especially in today's industry where bait and seitches are common and it's never been clearer producers want only your money for as little effort as possible.
