The netcode is the worst I have ever seen in the last two decades.
Many of us can't even login to the servers, and if you do manage to get in you will likely get disconnected and then find yourself unable to login to any server from that point forward because your character ends up deadlocked when connected to certain grids.
They just released their new "more stable networking API" and it made things worse than before. I really wanted to give these guys the benefit of the doubt here, but after about 15 hours of struggling I'm pretty much ready to throw in the towel.
I've played for about ten minutes total when the game was actually working and the rest of my experience has been nothing but frustration. Well over the allowable refund time on Steam thanks to the length of time I've spent fighting the login boss.

Not a good experience overall.
Seems this title will be as controversially mixed in its reception as ARK was.
The hidden menu that launches the ARK menu with "Ocean" DLC is much more than simply forgetting to rename file folders, though. Ocean DLC isn't in original ARK, so it can't be explained away by a mere oversight in reusing the UI from ARK.
