I liked this game before I quit about two years ago. When I tried to pick it up again, all my gear was gone. Apparently they had a massive overhaul of a bunch of game mechanics in January, and decided that the best way to handle class changes and gear compatibility changes was to remove all gear that characters were wearing and put it in the auction house for you to pick it up. If you can find it before you assume that you were hacked and quit in frustration. I'm not sure how someone thought that was a good idea.
Anyway, I redid all of my characters and finally today went and tried to fight mobs in a zone. The game was fairly easy before, but the difficulty has how been nerfed into oblivion. Pull 20 mobs, stand there hacking away until they die while not even trying to dodge, and don't lose that much life in the process. Ridiculous. Now it's just going through the motions of doing something stupid to level up.
They also made leveling much faster than before. I don't have a clean measurement of it, but I'd say that you level at least twice as fast as before. That basically makes it impossible to do any long chain of content without leveling way past it. And if it was too easy when you were the right level, leveling way past it makes it even worse.
On paper, the Re:Build changes looked good. But the game as it is now just isn't interesting to play, as there's no semblance of a challenge. A pity, as I liked the game two years ago.
