JeffSpicoliJeffSpicoli Member EpicPosts: 2,849
Looks like Steam has some sort of Spring Cleaning event/badge thing going on. Anyway the following games are free/trial for Memorial Day weekend if you haven't already checked.

Endless Space 2
Grim Dawn
Don't Starve Together
Dead By Daylight 2
Black Desert Online
AssetoCorsa (racing sim)
Left 4 Dead 2

More like "The Epic Store retaliation Weekend".
    This is getting exciting.
    Where's my popcorn?

PS: By the way, this is not happening in the UK, although they are heavily discounted, like £2 each.

    Skyrim.
What I don't remember is how I found out about Steam in the first place.

Edit: Oh, I think I was checking Half Life.

There is a Steam event going on with this too. The Spring Cleaning Event. https://store.steampowered.com/springcleaning

I love these things for some reason. It must be my inner skinner box addict.

What is the first game you added to Steam? One of the event tasks is to install and play your first game. Mine was the Bioshock Trilogy. I got all 3 games for $15.

That was my first game, but I also added Alice Madness Returns, and FF7. Those were the 3 games I first bought. I never played Alice.
The first game added to my Steam library was Half-Life/Counter-Strike back in 2003.

I'm based in England and I can play the games listed in OP for free over this weekend.

    You are correct. My bad.
It doesn't say that when you do a search, you have to click on the actual game page. Game is less  than 2 quids anyway.

Half Life 2, unfortunately it made me very nauseous after 10-15 minutes of playing.

    Tree of Savior

I prefer to buy games as closely from the developer as possible, and generally only go through Steam if the game is Steam-exclusive.

Sounds like steam is getting really desperate! Epic is winning
Nah, when there is more competition, it is the consumers who win.

I don't think you can call this a retaliation event as it ran last year too. This is even factored into one of the event "projects" where it says: "Play the first game you added to your Steam account, excluding last year's game Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition." Naturally, the game listed may be different for each person based on their first game.

Funnily enough, since I did Fallout 3 last year, apparently, FO: New Vegas was #2 in my library.

Just the weekend. If you install any of them, they show in your library with a counter indicating how much longer it is available to you to play.

Well I got my company of heroes 2, payday and homefront free forever from steam, sometimes they give it for free when you least expected.
