means I get the bonus content for PRE-ORDERING. So I get the bonus mission, cars, and guns for $60 when I PRE-ORDER.
But you see $120.
$60 for year 1 pass... ... ... $60 is the price of a full fucking game. Are they going to make a full fucking game in 1 year with equal amount of content and shove it up in there? I think NOT.
Pretty much why I rarely buy any games day one. Wait a year and there will be a 'game of the century' edition or w/e garbage title they come up with that just rolls everything into one price. I mean I get that Ubisoft is less greedy than EA but honestly, half their titles aren't worth it. Yea, they took a little more time with Odessey but like the other 8 that they had to churn out every year? Pretty much paying the same price to do the same thing in a different setting with most of their games.

Ubisoft makes my favorite games personally. I am a huge FC fan for example. The last two AC games were vastly different from previous versions in the series ( being action rpg games) hence the massive critical and audience favor to them both. (Developed by two different studios no less)
On top of that FC and AC games are complete games at launch. Say what you want about Ubisoft but they provide a good amount of content for their fans on launch day.
Yes there is nickel and diming done for sure and I don't like that but there is value there from the onset.
CDP is one of the leaders in terms of value for the money for sure but their financials pay for that at the same time.
I'm not really trying to knock Ubisoft, given that they are actually trying compared to Acti-Blizzard or EA. I'm just saying if people can wait, they should. If they're die-hard fans of something they should get it. I mean I loved FC2 so I instantly bought FC3 deluxe then got FC4 and felt burned, its kind of just their thing for the most. I mean you honestly are doing the same thing from 2-3-4 etc but I did like the immersion 2 and 3 had (Vaas was pretty cool), so I think that's the main determining factor in terms of value for someone, how the game makes them feel regardless of the gameplay loop. Devil May Cry series is essentially the definition of this yet many people love it (myself included). At the end of the day, to me its better to hear about a new AC/FC every year vs another CoD/Battlefield that honestly does the same thing yet still needs to charge 120$ for a 'collector' edition that doesn't even include the game (yeah I'm looking at you EA....).
This is NOT even a pre order bonus. It is JUST A BONUS. You buy the game day 1 release you get this bonus. You buy this game 10 days after release you get the bonus. You buy the game 10 month after release you get the bonus.
They put the pre order option out there, but there are no incentives. If you don't pre order, you don't miss out on anything.

and then I ahve to bring up the same issue I always bring up, and will keep doing till I see people learning
complaining do nothing, what will make changes is doing something,
so the problem here is company are selling over priced games who have content cut out so they can charge more later
solution: stop buying and preordering games like this, wait a year or 2, is not like we don't have a huge list of games to play, check that huge list of steam most have with games they never played, that is the time
kids you can't complain about something be wrong when you are patronizing then giving your money, if you want certain things to stop you need to do something, on this case? stop buying pre orders and wait, everyone and they grandmas know the same game who you have to for 200 on a pre order will be selling for 100 in a year, 50- in 2, so pray tell me why waste money? surpport the devs? what support are they giving? if you say support cd red, ok I can give you that since its a normal game pricing and they are making it a good thing for you, but the other? what advantage it gives?
if it was a MMO I could undertand the first day rush, but in a SP? come on

Actually, I haven't purchased ubisoft games in a long long time, so I can complain.
two different kinds of games though. Should really compare two single player games with one another. I get your point though.
Their doing the same with Watch Dogs Legion and they did the same with Assassins Creed: Odessy
I received two other Assassins Creed games when I bought Odyssey through Ubisoft, plus some wallpapers, and there is a ton of stuff you earn playing their games. Not sure there is any point in trying to make any comparison when it comes to pre-order stuff. Each publisher does their own thing, love it or hate it, it's whatever.
So wait...are we really comparing actual ingame preorder bonuses that add to the game vs a soundtrack, digital book and some wallpapers?
I will play both games as I like both developers. Yes I get there is a price difference but really?
Even the $60 version of breakpoint has ingame preorder bonuses btw. Not as many but still things to use ingame.
There you go. That right there is why Ubisoft remove contents from the game and call it "bonus" then charge you double. Will only get worse. Fun train wreck to watch.
One poster mentioned something i mentioned years ago and that is devs will simply remove some content from the game to add it back in as some special bonus. It does not matter one bit if you believe it or not,we should NOT be seeing EXTRA costs added to games. You have a game, sell it,none of this bull like early access or invite to beta testing or in game perks for pre orders, all bullshit. ANY and i mean ANY sign a developer is trying to manipulate pricing is a sign of a dishonest developer or publisher...ahem Microsoft as an example.
Another poster is also correct,we need to STOP supporting all the bullshit developers and publishers are trying to pull to get added money out of us or to force out pre orders. When the game is ready, you sell it,we buy it..maybe if it is any good.
It is VERY easy to turn this gaming market around into tons of AAA games, simply stop supporting all the crap,FORCE them to finish their games and to make quality games.
NO Arpg is quality, none of those Dark Souls games are quality, moba's are not quality,Darkest Dungeon and any lookalikes, all low budget crap that somehow becomes mainstream advertising and popularized.

cyberpunk CE comes at 250$, not 60. that is the base game.
We're not comparing collector editions.
We are comparing 1 company does not remove anything from the finished game and priced at $60, 1 company removes content from the finished game and priced at $120.

If you look at it this way then no they do not release a complete game otherwise paid DLC content would not be a thing.
And again there is a 60 version of the breakpoint game. Lets not blow this out of proportion. If we were talking huge sums of money it would be one thing but neither of those prices are huge sums of money.
The 60 version does not include the full game. If you want the full game you have to pay 120.
I may be blind (I am), but I don't even see a price quote in this pic. Not saying it's not true. I'm just curious...

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. - FARGIN_WAR
