My Sunday evening began like any other, A little of this and a little of that and o whats this DOTA UNDERLORDS auto chess on my steam home page ? The hell is this?
it is a simple concept yet has enough depth to hook you up if you like strategy games. very similar to poker in the sense that in a single game you need 90% luck to win but skill and strategy will make you win a lot more games in the long run than pure luck. good luck with your new-found addiction
pretty much my first experience with autochess game, i played first League of Legends teamfight tactics and was instantly drawn in...my addiction was cured for a while when i realised i have to wait 20h to get into PBE LoL server to play TFT ... so i now have to wait till it's on live servers....btw 9k ppl queue took like 5mins, so it looks like insane number of players are trying to get to PBE servers to play TFT lol

yeah i want to give the league of legends one a try as well but considering steam has plans for drops and marketplace integration ect ect Ill probably just stick with overlords, for now.
i pretty much believe both games are fun and very little things will matter when choosing the one to play (TFT or Underlords) ...tbh i'll just stick with TFT because i have more hours in league than in dota because i like quicker gameplay and lots of skillhot based abilities more, meanwhile dota is i'd say more slower, strategic and less skillshot based...so yeah i guess TFT will be more popular than Underlords cause League has insane population compared to Dota...at the end of the day I'm 100% sure I'd like Underlords too but I have like no reason to even try it
I loaded this and had no idea what to do within 3 mins, I quit
Yeah 3 mins is not enough time to get a grasp on whats what, with that said i don't see this being for everyone, Hell, I'm shocked i like it. Its basically a deck building game but instead of cards you have animated figures you add via RNG. Each round you get a random pool of 6 or 7 pieces(figures) to choose from with a set amount of gold based on how you did the previous match. The basic idea is to build the most synergy powerful team possible. Ie 2 warlocks on the board heal, 3 assassins give 30% damage to everyone, 2 brawny pieces add 400 health ect ect.
There is also equip-able weapon and armor pieces that drop in certain PVE rounds that provide even more synergy and boosts. And there is positioning on the board which is a whole other beast ect ect.. Its fun , easy to learn hard to master kinda game. At first I thought the timer was wayyy to short between rounds but then i realized its part of the game and suppose to be frantic.
Its like Poker in the sense you are dependent on luck of the draw but a skilled player will win 8 of 10 times. I think if you like Heartstone you will enjoy this game, if not i wouldn't recommend it.
Problem with games that expect you to buy a pack or something like Hearthstone and games like that is that you expect to lose. You think because I didn't buy something you are doing poorly and in my case I gave up quite fast once I lost. I just assumed it was because I hadn't spent money and bought the pack. In all possibility I was mistaken but I didn't have any incentive to play once I lost. So stupid on my part but having the mechanic where you can buy things to improve your chances will guarantee that I decide I cannot win without it unless I watch a fucktonne of vids on 'how to'.
