I'm not impressed, I'll just wait for new expac to see if it's worth to try...meanwhile i'm just gonna play vanilla when it comes out for 5-8 weeks, mostly for levelling experience for it's immersion and true MMORPG feel...I'm done with MMORPG's after vanilla for long time i guess, there is nothing worth playing rn and don't even know about any upcoming MMORPG's worth to check ...I thought Pantheon could be good but it takes so much time and looks so bad imo, I just believe, it'll have horrible performance issues, horrible animations, bad combat, no content...this genre is just meh

There is no immersion. Immersion is over. It's 2019, and you're still going to be looking at World of Warcraft, not some VR MMORPG with photo-realistic graphics.

Not sure why people keep throwing out these "code words," as they're literally useless, these days. That stuff meant a whole lot more when the genre was newer and people were not so accustomed to online gaming. No one even bothers to role play these days. Where are you going to get immersion from? Gaslighting yourself?
I get immersion from playing every game. It’s a personal mindset, not some developer tool. That being said, some games do it better than others. Still, largely personal. I guess it depends a little on how strong your imagination is and whether or not you are willing to allow the suspension of disbelief.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

    This.

Immersion is pretty much up to you as a person to be able to or want to experience. Sure some choices can ruin immersion for some people (like certain mounts or things that don't fit in the universe). But even playing PS1 games I can get immersed.

IMO SE has long been the leader in story telling in games, yes often and sometimes too many cutscenes but i have always got a real true feeling for what the story is about throughout the entire game.Example FFX,the ENTIRE game is a pilgrimage by Yuna and accompanied by her friends to save all of Spira from Sin.It is not a simple cutscene or dialogue,it is 24/7 throughout the game and imo the best story told ever in a mmorpg.

FFX is a MMOrpg since when?
Those of us who have been here a while know Wiz is referring to FFXI.....its always about FFXI, the most perfect MMORPG ever made don't ya know?

    ;)
He does seem to think FFXI is the only game ever, but in this case hes explaining the plot of FFX, which isn't an MMO as was pointed out. He is indeed comparing a single player JRPG story to a new WoW world quest zone.

    Don't feed the trolls!

Blizzard is effectively tilting at windmills in this game.  The staff that had any imagination and knowledge of how mechanics in games like this should work have long gone.  Even with the current discount I have no intention of getting the current expansion.  The few friends that still play are already disgusted with 8.2.

Seeing one simple word "dailies"right away...WRONG.Unless Blizzard can explain WHY there are dailies in a role playing game,it is just a dumb idea, more so just to say, here is something to do,might not fit the genre but this is all we have.

There are dailies because blizzard wants you to log in every day.

TBH I'm having fun in bfa especially in mechagon .all of you missed Something its a pvp expansion !!!
i know blizzard should worked more on Mobs and things like that . but I'm having fun with the war on nazjatar .
for pvp expansion bfa is good but it can be better.
beside that the story is really mystery for me!
I can't wait to see what will happen next!

I played BfA for like a month before realizing that they missed badly with this expansion. This isn't a very telling criticism, but to me it felt like the soul was missing from it. It felt like they spent less money or the wrong people were designing and implementing it. Something just felt much lamer than previous expansions. Simpler.

Anyway, I can't wait to check out the next major expansion to see how they try and bounce back.

Some of WoW's content in recent years actually looks entertaining. unfortunately the content is attached to systems and class design that are such a departure from the World of Warcraft that I fell in love with, that I can't even go back to the game. If you remove your base from the core experience that they fell in love with, you can't expect them to hang around for content updates.

Doesn't justify a sub fee right now but if you have some spare gold lying around then go in for a month. I wouldn't part with any money for it right now. Story wise it's fine though but that's about it.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

8.2 is a fail, it was obviously meant to try and retain players in the face of recent additions to BDO and more significantly FFXIV, if that was their best effort however they have serious problems, at this point in time FFXIV likely has significantly higher number of players subbed to their game than WoW does, it would not surprise me in the least if WoW has fewer players than both ESO and BDO, putting WoW at best in 4th place, truly now they need to hope that they don't make a mess of Classic, because it is likely their only real hope for the future as their foray into the mobile market will likely end badly as will pandering to the Chinese market by censoring their existing games.  :/

I thought the same thing about the tide stone, I was like "didn't we save it and have it under lock and key? Did it get stolen?" And "well maybe there's more than one?"

Daily quests are probably one of my most hated mechanics besides the whole mobile and micro-transactions gimmick.

Let me guess, instead of doing the same thing over and over again it would be a much better idea to let people do a slightly different thing over and over again?
