Any thoughts from anyone on the development of this game from a day ago? It's apparently set before the times of the movies and the 2007 Lord of the Rings Online that everyone is so familiar with

    Amazon is constantly in the news for their ruthless money ventures, many are borderline legal.

    For them to take on a free-to-play mmorpg shows that free-to-play is a borderline honest business.

    Amazon is getting a little too big....I'd rather support a smaller indie company than give Amazon more money.

    A F2P MMO developed by a Chinese slave-labor studio doesn't sound very appealing to me. It's probably a tax write-off for Amazon.

    I think with the cancellation of their other games that Amazon is slowly learning you can't just throw out a thousand virtual servers and make it work.  I don't think they have learned that yet though.

    I think Amazon is only providing the servers for the game, and Athlon and Leyou will be making it.

    Turbine's lotr is the worst possible type of f2p i've ever played, good game, horrible payment model, same goes for D&D online...the most expensive MMO on the market when it comes to unlocking full content available in the game

    I don't know how good Amazon's lotr will be but i'm sure payment model will be much better, it's not even possible to make it worse
