Plus they're giving away Alan Wake for free next week. Even if you hate the launcher (like myself), these are pretty good games to pick up for free if you don't already own them.

You were right Alan Wake and For Honor are free at Epic now. Until August 9 but I could be wrong on the end date.
Never heard of Alan Wake. Any good? And these 2 games are available until August 2nd.
I thought it was good.
but that kind of game you play once then its over.
hmmmm sure? I guess so. I don't think that's a bad thing. If I enjoy a game I can revisit it a few years later if it was good.
well then its the curse of the good memory, I can forget some fact when i'm not playing, but the moment I see the first scene, I remember everything of the game, and i'm not the kid I was when I could rerun the same game over and over doing the same thing

Alan Wake was a huge - huge - XBox 360 title published by Microsoft in 2010 after 5 years of development; high scores, high sales, awards etc., Subsequently developed for PC and released in 2011 with subsequent extra (episodic) content, collector's editions, story editions, books etc etc.
Whether you like the game depends on whether you like story based adventure type games etc.
It is, however, very slick. Highly polished, well scripted, good soundtrack etc. etc.

Yes (I think!).
Its just like Game of Thrones on TV or Lord of the Rings in the cinema. Most people just watch them once but that doesn't stop them being good. (Or that everybody likes them). And Alan Wake was, essentially, created like a TV series but as a game.

I don't think it has to do with good memory. Most likely just not being interested in "being" with content again.
I mean, I used to be able to sing the main themes of the prokofiev 3rd piano concert, from start to finish but I loved that piece. I wore out 3 records.
I suppose it's like seeing one's favorite movie once per year or even listening to that favorite song over and over again.
