Kinda funny how one's perspective changes over time. When I first started MMOs two decades ago, my response would've "Wow! This guy must be really good!"
Nowadays it's "...Is this really something news worthy...? Who the fuck cares?"
Nowadays its all about the "race" to world first rather than enjoying the actual fuckin game. I mean they literally had world first race streams going on with top guilds and known streamers on twitch.. I mean really? My god have we fallen on hard times when we have people streaming world first races on a classic WoW server...What the fuck is with people.
I guess that just means those guys will be bored that much quicker since there's a content cap and it aint going any further. Bravo.
Newsflash: this happened in 2004. It also happened with DAoC. "Nowadays" clearly includes the past!
Wow is full of bragging platforms, the ME ME syndrome,VERY little to do with role play gaming, everything is a race and instance runs for loot, that is the game in a nutshell.

Congratulations you have won....... oh yeah nothing....... The things you can do when you have no job or life lol
i wouldn't go that way...
if nothing is for you all the $$ he gets from the stream session... i dont have the real number but i think he earn more than thousand of $$ this way
for 96h playing a game, not bad no?
edit: 300k ppl watching him when he reach 60, if only 0.1% give hime 1$, i let you count
I honestly will never understand why you would ever give this people donations or why people will watch them play a video game. I tell you what I rather be playing it than watching it be played.
I could have been 40+ already, but i'm taking it slow and play only a few hours a day.
When i played Vanilla i don't think i liked it that much then how it is now even though the majority hates it.

Well that doesn't mean people don't enjoy it. Not understanding it that is.
There is a certain level of entertainment. Heck, before I played video games (as an adult) I'd watch a friend of mine play Warcraft. It was very entertaining. Then, when Warcraft 2 came out I just bought it and gave it to him so that he could play.
It was entertaining to watch what was happening on the screen. In truth, I couldn't care less about playing it at the time though eventually I caught the bug and started playing them.
As far as giving money, I know I'm a big believer in paying for my entertainment. If I watch a YouTube show and I consistently watch it and look forward to it I throw a dollar their way.
This is not really hard to understand when you look at it from a different angle.

Never payed to see a movie, cable tv, netflix, anything entertainment related? It's almost like some people enjoy things that you don't! Crazy world we live in!
My character is temporarily at the initial level because I do not always have enough time to play. During college, I use a special service https://tooly.io/recycling/ where I look for free examples of essays on various topics.
And you pay for powerleveling service in mmo's? lol...
Does 79 hours mean that not that many are bothered? Am I the only one to think that this is not that quick?
79 hours is insanely quick for 1-60 in classic, there was endless competition but this individual, as many others, has been practicing speed lvling on private servers for a decade and has perfected the art. Now there were some differences in play here like layering which would have increased his time but still an impressive accomplishment. This isn't retail where you can get 1-120 in 1 day, there is no comparison.

Wait a minute, he practiced in private servers?
So you're telling me that he did that insane grind multiple times until he got the most efficient method?
Congratulations you have won....... oh yeah nothing....... The things you can do when you have no job or life lol
Actually its the competitive human condition that makes us who/what we are, its in our DNA. Its always a big deal to accomplish something before another group of people. If people were any different we wouldn't even exist.

You know, i kind of used to think the same until i started watching twitch a lot and some starcraft streamers and see the effort they put into their game and stream. To some people it is a full time job.
One guy was playing on EU server at GM level (highest) and sometimes Serral (best sc 2 player in the world) plays publically.
The streamer beat him, he was former pro and is now a caster, but i threw $7 his way as an achievement bonus for the job well done.
Twitch is like a community onto itself. No different than going to a professional sports game and watching people play a game.
E-sports will outstrip all professional sports combined in my opinion.
Much easier to sit alone in a room and play a game then get a bunch of people together for a team sport.
Catch me streaming at twitch.tv/cryomatrix You can see my sci-fi/WW2 book recommendations.

Heaven forbid someone take time off work for a video game launch. Shame... Shame... Shame... *bell ringing in the distance*
Taking time off of work to play WOW or killing a weekend gaming is one thing, Hitting level 60 in under a week is something entirely different. This involves unhealthy amounts of sleep deprivation as well as improper eating. Someone suggested maybe multiple people were involved in the leveling process but if one guy or gal did this on their own ,they need to get their fucking head checked , and priority's straight.
Yea because wanting to be first at something is shit fuck that guy for trying something incredible. Sure maybe he didn't break some kind of feat of strength or cure cancer but guess what it's cool and gaming related if you can't appreciate it or say something positive. Why are you even here if all you wanna do is try to demoralize it with your idea of how games should be played.
This takes the kind of skill an dedication I never had even when I was younger.
At least I know I couldn't do it, unlike many in this thread implying they could but won't 'cause reasons

Streamer who is only about self, vulgar annoying player who I hope I never come across again.
Why are you on a video game website if you think playing games with time off is awful? Makes no sense man.
P.S. The first 60 was in 2004. First in classic, yes, but otherwise late to this party.

On the bright side maybe him and his minions will stop logging in and ease the queues.
The average player will take a month or two to reach 60 if they make it at all
