    Like i told yas as this was happening ,(this person was particularly dumb) they already knew who it was and they would be arrested ..

    We won't know who did it because they didn't actually bust anyone. Blizzard wants to scare people so it isn't done again. I don't know what's worse though, DDOS'ing old content that's already been DDOS'd or playing a game that's already been played. I'll get back to you on that....

    I wouldn't doubt it that they got this person within the first week. Both the US and EU governments have there hands so far into the isps that tracking people down is becoming a next day thing. 

    I wouldn't doubt it if one of the governments was hiding out as the seller of the bot net waiting for people to purchase it just to bust them once they use it illegally.

    Anyways if we go by what blizzard said they got the person and I am just fine with that. You do the crime you should pay the time. Regardless if you think it was harmless or not.

    A DDoS attack has nothing to do with credit cards or billing security. But I can see why someone like you might think this idiot was smart.

    Yeah because flooding a network with connections is definitely relating to how secure it is.

    Anyone who thinks is OK for a person to DDOS a game (or any website) has something wrong with them.  Plenty of games and companies that I think are plenty shady, but DDOSing is far beyond the line.  Not only are you affecting the company, but thousands of others as well (even millions in some cases).

    By posting an average of about 5.3 posts per day for 14 years (5110 days).
    Taken in that space of time it is very reasonable to have that count but I'm sure the person that criticised @Sovrath wasn't trying to look at things reasonably. It's so easy to 'make' things look this way or that when taken out of context. Having said that who gives a fig about the post count when it is the substance that matters.

    Sovrath has been here for 14 years and his ratio of Agree/Insightful/Awesome to WTF is around 700:1.

    You OTOH, have been here for 4 months and your ratio is 1:1.

    Looks to me like one of you is a well regarded community member with a long history of good contribution and the other one is a useless troll. I'll let you work out which is which.
