Bought GW2 years ago - now they want my game key ?!

Hi,

sadly i can not contact the GW2 support because their site has an error.
After some months i wanted to play GW2 again for a bit and they want my game key now.
No idea where that has gone, but im sure i dont have that key anymore.

Im also sure about im totally upset on that behavior, playing it for years without issues and now that :(

Arena Net can totally pollenize themself, deleted the game and will never support them again.

    Sounds like you may have reacted too hastily, my guess is there are several avenues you should have exhausted not just visiting their website.

    Just checked their support site, it includes instructions on how to recover your account and even allows for submitting a ticket anonymously if you can't log in.

    "If you can't find your serial code, you can also include other identifying details to help the team verify ownership of your account. This includes:

    • The full name on the account
    • Your date of birth
    • The phone number used on the account
    • The last four digits of the credit card on the account
    • etc."
    Those living under the bridge question if you really are the owner of the account or just bad at navigating the nets.

    Ya thanks, i wrote them a anonymous ticket.

    I can access my account but cant play due to the game key, but im playing it for years until now ?!

    Im curious what the support will answer but thewhile i uninstalled the game.

    I hope they clear the situation up for you quickly, nothing sucks more than being unable to access your favorite game....

    Anet does make it a pita to recover your account if you don't remember user name and pw.

    That sucks but is nothing compared what Funcom did to me.  I was playing two of their games and out of no where they closed my account and wouldn't open it without me sending them a picture of my ID.  No other options to verify myself.  That's the only option they gave.  I refused then they gave me a hard time about getting refunds.  If you're telling me I'm not me, and not giving me any acceptable/normal ways to verify myself, give me my fucking money back without having to jump through hoops.
