Are there any hopeful MMORPGs releasing soon?

Hey guys,  i basically gave up on my favorite genre probably 2 years ago because nothing i saw at all was hopeful and just a bunch of kickstarters which normally dont turn out.  I havent been following any MMORPGs development really like AOC, Crowfall, Camelot Unchained, etc.  Do any of these games seem promising and have a chance to launch in the next year?  I sold my pc actually and just went to an xbox but if there is anything promising i would look for the deals this holiday season and get me another PC.  Single player games and stuff like Mortal Kombat just isnt cutting it for me like MMORPGs.   So is there any good news out there or not?  Almost considering going to WOW classic, just scared it will be dead in 6 months more months.

    ArcheAge and WoW classic just rereleased, Crowfall looks decent depending on what you're looking for... other than that, not a lot.

    There's a reason people are paying to play pre-alpha games and rehashed older games (guilty). I'm currently playing PoE and MTG Arena hoping AA Unleashed gets its population issues under control.

    No, nothing on the horizon. Stuff in the making.

    As far as going to World of Warcraft Classic, just do it. There is never a guarantee that a game is going to be crowded and stay crowded. Ever. Even if, say, Camelot Unchained launched tomorrow with all its bells and whistles it might be population light in 6 months.

    So just grab the fun when you can.

    NC Media Day is approaching (since 2015 NCSoft has been boycotting G-Star, the biggest korean gaming event, and announcing their games on their own event) in November. Hopes are they will finally bring news on Project TL, as well a beta test date.

    Lineage Eternal was scrapped, and replaced by project TL, rebuild from scratch using Unreal engine 4.

    I was about to chime in again saying there are a lot of existing, free to play MMOs out right now that are pretty good. LotRO, GW2, SWtOR, DCUO, Champions, Eve, etc. As much as people complain, there are a lot of options.

    Regarding WOW Classic, half of the servers have still the layering on, which was supposed to be just a temporary measure for launch.

    So if you are worried the servers will be dead in 6 months time, don’t be.
    Most Servers are still overcrowded.

    Classic has still lot of content to be implemented which will keep raiders engaged for years.
    And the casuals have many Alts and Twinks to make.

    If people didn’t like Classic, they would have quit already after 2 months.
    Classic is here to stay.

    I am hoping there will be a hopeful MMORPG announced some time in the near future. But nothing new in the horizon yet.

    Phantasy Star Online 2 got my interest, and that is a 7 year old MMO...

    ...that says alot about new mmo´s  being released...

    If you're not interested in any of the already released MMO's, or in nostalgia servers like they have for EQ and WoW, you're pretty much out of luck.  Crowd funded MMO's turned out to be a disaster and there isn't any true AAA MMO in development that we know of.  Nothing with any promise is anywhere close to release.  Unless you're excited by more Korean shit being ported over, you're not going to find much to look forward to.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    Questionable if it's an MMORPG in the traditional sense, and questionable whether or not it's still undergoing significant development.
    After doing a little more research, it seems questionable that it's in development at all at this point.  Looks to be totally dead.

    IMHO it doesnt.

    A good MMO should be designed to have longterm motivation.

    Have anything to back that up? As far as I know only 2 games have been released and neither one really seem to have any issues aside from being "meh" games anyway.
