Seems a bit strange to me that they're selling "fog of war" as a major feature. I'm not sure I understand why that's a key feature to advertise. When the view is top-down, and I'm sure you can only zoom out so far, isn't the edge of the screen already fog of war?
When the developers actually advertise ganking as a core part of a game, yeah, smh.
Well developers are a small team from Ukraine - so their experience is questionable at best
Not sure where experience fits in with making the game you want to play. Whether I play a game or not I would rather developers focus on their interests than trying to make a game that fits someone else.
What do you guys think about the name, Corepunk just sounds odd to me?
Less odd than say, "Disco Elysium"
Reminds me of a movie I now love but for many years refused to watch because of its "bad" name, Big Fish.
Hmmm core punk sounds horrible.
Disco Elysium at least sounds like a so bad it's good movie. Though I understand that it is a good game.
The name comes from the economic depression era after the consumism found in the decade of high disco - which some remember foundly and others sees it with disgust.
It's not random and fits the game.
Tequila Sunshine, baby.
I'm sorry, missing your references, 'Disco" for me brings back memories of platform heels (for men), polyester leisure suits, nylon silk shirts, shiny mirrored balls, John Travolta and the Bee Gees.
How anyone can make a good game outta this perplexes me.
Is OK, getting it for Christmas so I'll soon find out.

You forgot Donna Summers and dancing on roller blades at the disco... not sure if the skates were a big thing everywhere but they were on the west coast

Why god oh why cant they make a game without gender locked characters!
They dont do classes like most MMOs, some skill sets will be better suited for some of the characters you pick from but any avatar you pick can use any skill set (class)

It adds to exploring and also hides people's movements in PvP. So surprise attacks and ambushes can happen. In most MMOs you are looking as far off in the distance as your graphics card can handle and the game lets you. You often can see things you would not normally be able to see if it was happening in RL. Fog of War helps to remove that.
Mouse movement -> bad ergonomics -> not interested.
What MMO lets you play 100% with a keyboard? Its like all MMOs, one hand on the keyboard, one hand on a mouse.
There's an enormous difference between needing to occasionally grab a mouse to navigate a menu and needing constant, aggressive mouse usage to play a game at all.
Don't pretend that you've never heard of WASD movement or tab targeting. Attacking in whatever direction you're facing also works fine without needing a mouse to move.

...he means that bad ergonomy of click and point movement millions of DOTA and LOL players enjoy daily.
Complete fail.
Yes, actually, that is the reason why I can't play most MOBAs. If you don't use a computer very much other than for gaming, then maybe you can get away with heavy mouse usage while gaming. Or maybe also while you're still young. But as you get older, trying to use a mouse heavily for work and then also for gaming is a repetitive strain injury waiting to happen.

I use WASD all the time but the mouse to point what direction I am going. My abilities #1 - #12 are on my gaming mouse. I am constantly using both my keyboard and mouse. Maybe I am doing it wrong.

I work at a PC all day but I use a vertical mouse on my work PC. I wish I could get a vertical gaming mouse. I also been using the grip work out things 4 times a week. Also stretches as well for my forearm. My pain has gone from I thought i would need surgery to I am 100% pain free again.

I had really bad tendonitis and adding grip work to my work out has done miracles! Now I have built up so much stability in my wrists that I haven't had any problems since!

On the other hand, I really like the Resident Evil Remakes as well, so there's definitely a market for that.
It's kind of depressing to see all these new movies/books/tv shows/games being rehashes from before, but when it works it's awesome.
I'd love new Landstalker, Dark Cloud & Legend of Legaia game remakes or sequels.
Gut Out!
What, me worry?

At least we got that sorted out.
