they are banking with one of the best banks making interest, getting money from amd [remember the ships with the gfx cards], intel [the optane ssd's], nvidia... and more.... [amazon!] the ad revenue from the hate group on something aweful alone is probably a million dollars or more by now.... which is hilarious and ironic.... add this forum, facebook and then some...
they dont need the multi million dollar from the investors only the backers... the interest they are accruing every year at 2% !!! the 50M = 1000000 in interest a year...
they are only going up.

Those aren’t financials though. Financials generally contain a balance sheet or something similar and are signed off. Those numbers can be fudged for all we know. The UK group when they file is what I would consider financials.
The UK group of CIG is publishing financials for years now.

Which is what I said. Thanks for restating that?
You said "...when they file ...".
And they do.
In regular intervals. ;-)
The "WHEN" was for me the important word.
Have fun
Yeah when they file but late. I can’t believe I need to be that specific.

As usual verifiably wrong statements coming from @rodarin In other news: Water is wet.
Have fun
what have the added that is actually getting this thing closer to release? What actual MECHANICS that were broken, buggy or non existent last year are in it now?
This new update shows they dont have a clue as to what theyre doing. Rushing out broken trash (while fanbois say theyre taking their time to get it right) Its is a comedy of errors here.
What is in the tech demo right now that is working bug free and able to be saved (persistent) that wasnt in the tech demo last Dec.
Not planets or new ships (that actually got past jpeg stage) but actual game mechanics that are fundamentally necessary to 'finish' an MMO (of any kind).
The most recent - for year end 2018 - were published 31-Oct-2019.
As far as I am aware there is no legal requirement for this information. The entire company stuff was only published for the first time a year ago - when they released 2012-2017. And this info says it ties back to the legally required stuff. Puts the timing in context as well; subsidiary bits of a company do their results before the full company.
Why? Obvious reason: to reassure existing and future backers; counter the 90 days tops / it will never release because its running out of money stories. Less obvious - maybe more critical - to reassure employees. Productivity can plummet when they are arranging / thinking about their upcoming job interviews / applications. And their bank balance did get pretty low. It may also relate to the external investors - they now have 2! And maybe future ones. Investors prefer things with track records.
lol the 9 million in marketing last year would have paid for the game I wanted
That is the type of thinking that has encouraged multiple crowd funding pitches: CU, Crowfall, Pantheon, SotA, SoE etc. etc.
The marketing costs includes the alpha server costs btw - I have always believed that one reason that WoW was so sucessful (and survived its day 1 meltdown) was because it was "out there" prior to full release.
